Oshoala Helps Arsenal Ladies Reach FA Cup Semis

Asisat Oshoala delivered  a spectacular performance as Arsenal Ladies defeated Notts County Ladies 4-3 on penalties at the Meadow Park on Sunday to move into the last four of the Women’s FA Cup.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw after 120 minutes with penalties needed to pick the winner.
Kelly Smith volleyed the ball home on 21 minutes to give Arsenal the lead.
The lead however lasted only two minutes before Bradley Auckland equalised for Notts County.

Oshoala came close to scoring in the 28th minute, but Telford palmed away her shot.
The visitors took the lead for the first time in the game on 33 minutes when Arsenal goalkeeper, Sariv Veenendaal, failed to hold on to the ball allowing Luik to tap home.
The home side restored parity nine minutes from time through Natalia Pablos.

Oshoala almost scored for the Gunners on 86 minutes only to be denied by a brilliant save by Telford.
The Nigerian forward wasted a glorious chance to hand her side the lead in the 101st minute.
Natalia cut the ball to the striker, but she shot wide from close range.

The game went into a penalty shoot out after both teams failed the winner in extra time.
Katie McCabe struck the winning penalty to send Arsenal into the last four.
