NLC threatens nationwide strike over poor electricity, fuel scarcity



The leadership of the Nigeria Labor Congress NLC say they will soon be organizing a one-day warning strike over the lingering fuel scarcity ‎and the refusal of the Federal government to reduce electricity tariff.

NLC President Ayuba Wabba disclosed this while speaking with newsmen during the Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the congress in Abuja today April 6th.


 No date has been set aside for the proposed strike.

  2. NLC leaders are bunch of confused people when OBJ sold the Refineries to private sector they kicked, yet we all witnessed ceaseless turn around maintenances used to steal our resources. Yet nothing good was coming from the refineries. Why are you threatening to go on strike? If these refineries are run by private sector they will certainly do better and other refineries may spring up to compete with them

  3. I do not trust this set of nlc. Its president is not serious with his role. He is more of APC and we know through all his utterances and inactions. Let him not organize any strike gare. No need for his one day jamboree strike. Who is he deceiving?

  4. Sleeping supposed elected officer to represent the masses and stand against injustice and misrule. Sleeping and enjoying themselves. Probably soiled by corruption in the past and therefore short down purpose for the fear of efcc. God save Nigerians

  5. NLC? who are they? Are they relevant at all or are they still existing? They should just go and seat down amd keep mouth shout. They are as good as living dead!!!!! NLC my foot!!! Useless set of nuisance.

  6. Would one day warning strike solve the lingering fuel crisis? Please appeal to the FGN to declare a day of fuel crisis public holiday to enable all your members cool off from the stress occasioned by the ceaseless traffic jam all over the roads.
