The Founder of House of Rainbow, a church where homosexuals and lesbians worship, took to his Facebook and Twitter accounts to announce an upcoming event that the coalition is putting together tagged:
'What does the Bible say about homosexuality?'
But Macaulay who describes himself as an activist, author and queer theologian, went further to say that from what he has reading the Bible, the great King David was gay while another character in the bible, Ruth was a lesbian.
Read what he wrote:
"The Holy Bible tells me DAVID IS GAY & RUTH IS A LESBIAN. If this makes you mad, you need to wake up.
Being gay is not a criteria for heaven, neither is heterosexual. Jesus said love God and your neighbour as yourself. Queering the bible is not a new thing; there is black theology associated with empowering black people who were once a subject of brutal interpretation and oppression.
Slavery was a construction of religious interpretations and for Queer Theology, we must look holistically at the text that speak or remotely represents. Women were once victims of the theology of inequality and then Feminist theology was developed. We must offer liberation and inclusion in its fullness.
David and Jonathan are Gays, Ruth and Naomi are lesbians; if we are to interpret using modern languages to describe the behaviours, accounts and evidences in the bible.

Unfortunately,you missed it.Your arguments are figments of your mind that lost its original bearing, baseless and unsubstantiated. Are you not bothered by the troubles of pervasiveness of your body? What will you do when your anus starts wearing off and leaking if it has not already? How long will you wear pad to soak up the leakage? What about the sicknesses associated with this dirty lifestyle which will eventually turn you into a fanthomaniac. Conscience they say is an open wound that truth and nothing but truth can heal. They are everywhere now and their bravado has increased in the sense that they play around in public, enticing idiots with dirty money. I suggest we start attacking them and also lesbians too. The word of God is complete and cannot contradict itself. Preach the Gospel and dnt defend the word. God defends His word from the creation of the world. What is the Gospel? Jesus came died and resurrected for all the world to be reconciled back to God.and He is coming back again to take His own which are those who qualifies John 3 16. Thanks

Answer: The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.
God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that people become homosexuals because of sin (Romans 1:24-27) and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as some people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person’s choosing to sin by giving in to sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger/rage, does that make it right for him to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true with homosexuality.
However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13)

Homosexuality – An ABOMINATION!
Homosexuality refers to romantic attraction, sexual attraction or sexual behaviour between members of the same sex or gender.
The word of God condemns this behavior and it attracts death penalty.
“Homosexuality is absolutely forbidden, for it is an enormous sin”
“The penalty for homosexual acts is death to both parties”
(Leviticus 18:22; 20:13)
The fact that the word of God addresses this issue in the first Book of the Bible means the practice dates back to the early days of man’s existence. Satan had devised means of adulterating all of God’s institution, especially marriage. He makes man believe that his introduction stands out best. And man in his depravity buys into Satan’s ways.
“… as they were preparing to retire for the night, the men of the city –
yes, Sodomites, young and old from all over the city –
surrounded the house and shouted to Lot, ‘Bring out those men to us
so we can rape them.’” (Genesis 19:4-5).
These men of Sodom – homosexuals – rejected Lot’s offer of his two virgin daughters (verses 6-9).
At this juncture, it’s important that we remind ourselves that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for this abominable behavior (cp Genesis 18:20-22) and in fact, the name/description of this behaviour in our modern-day – “sodomy” was derived from this context. Abraham’s intercession for these cities from 50 – 5 righteous persons couldn’t save them, i.e. the angels of God couldn’t find 5 righteous persons in these cities. Again, God hasn’t changed.
These things are so and much more pronounced in our day because as one of the signs of Jesus’ coming, the day is drawing nearer faster than we think. Jesus said as touching those times:
“Sin will be rampant everywhere ….” (Matthew 24:12).
There is still hope for the morally bankrupt. God is still interested in saving such persons, including the homosexuals. Jesus died for everyone.
“Come, let’s talk this over, says the Lord; no matter how deep
the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean
as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson,
I can make you white as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).
“Christ … died once for the sins of all us guilty sinners although
He Himself was innocent of any sin at any time that He might
bring us safely home to God.” (1Peter 3:18).
All you need do is to come to Him, just as you are, confessing all your abominable acts to God Who in His mercy will forgive you as He said in the verse above – Isaiah 1:18. But be reminded that if you refuse and continue, the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah awaits you – eternal destruction.
“… the wages of sin is death …” (Romans 6:23a).
May the Lord set you totally free from the grip and power of homosexuality as you honestly and obediently surrender to Him today.

ReplyDeleteThis is a democratic government and Human rights (which include that of gays and lesbians) need to be upholded positively. Sexuality is natural and is less a choice. Unless you have a time when you woke up and decide to be having feelings for the opposite sex but as for me, I don’t. That is why I wrote an article title: Homosexuality is Natural, STOP the hate.
