Ex-Nigeria international Nwankwo Kanu has criticized the current administration of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) led by Amaju Pinnick for failing the country.
Kanu’s criticism of the NFF comes after the country failed for the second straight time to qualify for the AFCON.
"What is happening with Nigerian football is that the top management is not what it is supposed to be so what is below is being affected," Nigeria football ambassador Kanu told BBC.
"When the head is not right, even your body won't be right", said the former Arsenal and Ajax Amsterdam star.
On Tuesday, the NFF executives will meet with the country’s sports minister for a consultative meeting in Abuja on account of the country’s failure to qualify for AFCON 2017 in Gabon.
