Nigeria international and Watford striker Odion Ighalo will wait until the end of the season to finalize funeral plans for his deceased father.
Paul Ighalo passed away on Monday in Nigeria but his son is unlikely to return to his family until after the final Premier League game against Sunderland on May 15.
Ighalo told ESPN FC: "The season is almost over, and it might be a while before all the funeral arrangements are complete, so although I will continue to stay in close contact with my family over there, I will be here with my club until then."
The news came hours after Watford lost 2-1 in the semi-final of the Emirates FA Cup in Wembley on Sunday.
The Nigerian international who has scored 16 goals in 43 games in all competitions for the Hornets has also been called up for next's months international friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg.
