Senator Ben Murray Bruce has said he will not accept the 35.6million SUV bought by Senate for members.
In a tweet on his twitter handle,@benmurraybruce, Bruce said he will accept only SUV made in Nigeria.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I did not and will not accept any SUV. The only SUV I will accept is a made in Nigeria car,” he wrote.
The decision of the Senate to buy SUV for some of its members considering the economic situation in the country has been faulted by Labour unions and other members of the public.
The Senate has however justified its decision saying the vehicles were needed for official assignments by members. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Senator Ben Bruce, wake up. Nigerians have passed this stage you are. You are deceiving and talking to yourself. Take it or leave it on the pages of newspaper, that car is already in your garage.
ReplyDeleteThat common sense
ReplyDeleteThis guy talks too much. The equipment at his radio stations must be made in Nigeria I guess? He should please get serious for once.
ReplyDeleteAll this ur talk is nothing but Gestapo Bullshit! Who r u fooling Pls? Where were u when the previous govt was squandering Nigeria's loot? Now everything is about ur lame "common sense?" Don't u just love the sound of ur voice. Pls stop parading urself as a crusader that u ain't. U r just another thieving Nigerian who didn't get caught.
ReplyDeleteInstead of this Clown to condemn the purchase of this vehicles for people who already have lots of vehicles as a waste of resources,he's fooling his gullible followers talking of assembled in Nigeria
ReplyDeleteI wonder why we can't leave persons and address issues. He said he will not collect, what is wrong there? If you kbps hé has collected already, show us evidence and we shall alô blast him.
ReplyDeleteHe should be condemning the purchase of the vehicles in the first place considering the economic and sorry financial state of the country not encouraging the purchase of any vehicles for people who already have lots of vehicles at home
DeleteThese looters are buying 35.6million SUV when the country is in economic difficulty. Can any sane person considers these useless dishonorable set of rogues men of the people?
ReplyDeleteCommon sense is when thieves line up in court to support their own. Common sense is when Saraki name appears in Panama Paper and no Senator is asking question or calling for his resignation.. Common sense is buying SUV of N36m for every Senator when the economy is in shamble. Common sense implies Ben Bruce and his colleagues sitting to change a law just to protect the Chief Thief. Common Sense is removing a project that will touch life of the masses replacing it with constituency projects etc Useless senators
ReplyDeleteIf Ben Bruce radio station equipment is being made here he should have used it, bruce is talking of product Nigeria is producing,we should comment reasonably not as clueless individuals
ReplyDeleteA group of Nigeria professor board a plane, while about to take off the pilot informed them that its one of their student that built the plane, all but one of the professor ran quickly off the plane. When ask why he didn't run he said if its one of my students that made this plane it wouldn't even start.

ReplyDeleteBen Bruce refusal and persistence on made in Nigeria SUV is logical. His refusal is based on the fact that such exclusively exotic SUVs are not obtainable in the made in Nigeria stock of products. If they are not in the stock of made in Nigeria products, it automatically translats to his refusal and no-support for exuberant spending on exotic cars. This a logical approach to the fight against excessiveness of our senators.
ReplyDeleteThe average commentator on this platform are frustrated Nigerians and you can sense that frustration has beclouded their reasoning faculty. The statement by Murray Bruce is commendable and state-manly but all some of you could do is to pick holes in his statement. That is why the best thing for you is iron fist and hardship. It is only in Nigeria that penchant for foreign goods surpasses national interest. May God bless Murray Bruce for his Pro-nationalistic stand.
ReplyDeleteMan! Talk is cheap. Anyone can say in the media that 'I won't do this or that'. Will the innocent Nigerians being shortchanged know when Ben Bruce collects his SUV? We should stop fooling ourselves.
Deletenow we know that the change is the new style of stealing and fooling themases
ReplyDeleteIlliteracy in Nigeria is a big problem. All he is saying is simple. A car made in Nigeria, if bought, would keep the money in Nigeria for the safety of Nigerian jobs. But if you buy a foreign car, the money gets expatriated. Common sense.
