'I was pretending' - Tope Aluko in surprise U-Turn yet again, blasts Fayose, claims reconciliation was staged managed

The politics in Ekiti state is getting more dramatic everyday with the recent revelations by the former Secretary of PDP in Ekiti state, Tope Aluko. With less than 24 hours after a video surfaced online of Tope Aluko addressing the press that all was well between himself and Fayose, the former Secretary of PDP in Ekiti state, Tope Aluko, in yet another dramatic turn around said the meeting was stage managed and that he had to address the press to pretend that all was well for the safety of his wife.

Many Nigerians  blasted Tope Aluko for his sudden turn around and support for Fayose despite all the grave allegations he made on Channels TV

Fayose told journalists in the video that if he leaves Aluko to the whole world, who would be there for him.

“I am his father, I am his brother, whatever the past has held for all of us, I am still his father,” Fayose said.

Asked if he has forgiven Aluko, Fayose said, “Whether you are talking of forgiveness, Aluko remains my son, my boy… whatever he has said, it is time to move forward.”

Aluko told journalists that everything was behind now.

“This is about peace, this is about misunderstanding, this is about talking together, this is about family coming in, this is about well-meaning Nigerians coming in and that’s what we have achieved,” Aluko said.

THE TRUTH

However addressing newsmen, Tuesday in Lagos, Dr Aluko said the parley was a script aimed at misinforming Nigerians.

The former PDP scribe, who recanted his earlier stance, said “One fact remains clear, there is nowhere that I, Temitope Aluko, refuted anything I have earlier said before Nigerians and the whole world about the manipulations that characterised the 2014 Governorship election in Ekiti State.”

Expressing displeasure over the purported reconciliation meeting, he said “I was shocked to see Governor Fayose walked into the meeting at this point. I won’t want to bore you with the drama and face-off that ensue between me and governor Fayose inside the meeting.

It is worthy of note that it was at this point that my wife badges into the meeting to inform me that she noticed the presence of pressmen downstairs and said ‘there is a problem’ but it was Fayose that interrupted her and said ‘madam, there is no problem.” He added that “at that point, I became enraged and decided to leave the place but I notice Governor Fayose rushing after me downstairs in a gestapo manner.

My wife was already fidgeting and almost crying and suddenly I could not find her around me. I immediately realised that I need to oblige to his (Governor Fayose) instruction of facing the press because of the safety of my family.” He, however, appealed to Nigerians to disregard the peace treaty saying it was a tactical error on his part.

NigerianEye recalls that Aluko, who was chairman, Security and Intelligence Committee of Fayose Campaign Organisation, appeared on Channels TV some weeks back, apologizing for being part of the Ekiti Project, which was the major campaign point of the PDP that had been jettisoned by Governor Fayose.

Aluko opened a can of worms and gave an insider account of how the military was allegedly used to rig the election that Fayose won under PDP.

  2. This Aluko of a man is definitely not reliable. He is a coward and free with lies. For whose good is the reconciliation?

  4. From all indications, this man called Aluko needs to undergo some mental screening, to establish his mental and psychological state. I want to believe that he is fast becoming a victim of imbecility and cerebral derailment. It is no longer normal for the poor man anymore. May God restore normalcy back to his senses. Well, as events are unfolding...

  8. I am not surprised at the turn of event because a critical look at the video shows that Aluko was under some influence judging by his appearance and composture and anyone that knows Ayo Fayose very well will know that he's a man with dangerous instint that will stop at nothing illegal to achieve his aim.lets just watch for more drama and particularly pray for Aluko who has choosing to dine with the devil.

  14. This is what a typical Nigerian Politician truly is. Imagine the rubbish coming out of the mouth of somebody's father, a woman's husband and most probably a leader of one sort or the other. what a shame

  15. Whatsoever a man has will he use to save his life. So you pretended to be at peace with your enemy so that you can be able to go. There is a little sense in that. But be careful so you are not entrapped again, because we are watching.
