In a communique issued on Wednesday, the group called on Buhari to take urgent action towards addressing the menace.
“The meeting is worried about the recent spate of killings by Fulani herdsmen across the country as evident in Agatu killings, the murder of Olu Falae’s guard in his farm, the killings in Ibadan and the latest being the heinous murder of over 40 Nigerians in cold blood in Enugu," the communique said.
“We are worried that Federal Government seems to have maintained indifference to the wanton killings going on across the country against the provisions of the constitution.
“That the Federal Government has a duty to protect the lives and properties of every citizen of Nigeria and we call on President Muhammadu Buhari to speak up on this matter and to take urgent action to restore the sense of people of Nigeria, especially in the South and Middle Belt.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

The herdsmen killing is a grand plot by the president to cause same issue that happened in the north in the south and west.
ReplyDeleteThey invented bokoharam and it destroyed their region, now they want same thing in other parts of the country. We need to be wise in handling this issue or else it will degenerate to a very big problem like bokoharam. I suggest its best all villages/local governments should begin vigilante funded by their council /states or through levies. No one from the north have spoken out against this killings. Emir of Kano, Sokoto etc
