Emir Sanusi blames Jonathan’s administration for economic hardship

Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II has blamed the previous administration led by Goodluck Jonathan for the lingering economic hardship in Nigeria.

Sanusi, the former Central Bank of Nigeria governor attributes the current hardship to the way and manner previous administration handled the affairs of the nation.

He stated this when Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo visited him on Saturday during a working visit to the northern state of Kano.

Speaking on the economic hardship, Sanusi, however, called on the government to find lasting solution to the hardship.

The emir also advised government to step up effort in enlightening Nigerians on the nation’s economic situation.

He promised that the emirate council would do same and pleaded with Nigerians to bear with the situation, assuring that the hardship would soon be overcome.

Also speaking, Osinbajo stressed that the Buhari-led administration was committed to transforming the living standard of Nigerians.

According to him, the Federal Government is doing everything possible to overcome the challenge soon.

He told the emir that he was in the state to sympathise with the state government, Emirate Council and the entire people of the state on the recent fire outbreak at the Abubakar Rimi Market.

“We also came to inspect some of the developmental projects executed by the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje,” Osinbajo said.

  2. He was an,integral part of the administration, but he didn't resign when he saw things were not being done well. When an allegation of fraud was levied against him, he started to see and shout Corruption...he started to give conflicting figures...Now, he becomes Appostle of "Change", Appostle of "Honesty". What an Irony!!! Well,as events are unfolding...

  3. This man sound so so naive. Sometimes some people sound as if Nigeria started and ended with Jonathan. However I am happy that most reasonable Nigerians do know that Jonathan was the best President Nigeria ever had. The economic problem of Nigeria today is not caused by Jonathan but rather it is caused by the clueless leadership of Buhari. My be you have to ask yourself :
How much was the price of fuel per litr before Jonathan handed over on May 29.?
How much did naira exchange to a dollar before may 29th?
What was the inflation rate before Jonathan left?
Were we suffering the way we are suffering now during Jonathan reign?
    You guys have to.
Advice you president to think solution rather than blame Jonathan
