Nigeria international Mikel Obi could be sold this summer by Chelsea's incoming coach, Antonio Conte, if a report in Italian website Sportmediaset is anything to go by.
Mikel who has been revived under interim boss Guus Hiddink has started 15 games for the Blues since December.
The Nigeria star, who has spent a decade at Chelsea, is one of the three players – the others being Brazilian duo of Oscar and Willian – new coach Antonio Conte wishes to sell to fund a mammoth £80m move for Juventus playmaker Paul Pogba, the report claims.
The current Italy manager who joins the Blues officially after the Euro 2016 tournament in the summer was in London on Monday to discuss transfer plans for the summer.
Conte will be busy after Chelsea’s disappointing season which sees the Premier League champions in 10th place.
Conte will also hold talks with Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Nemanja Matic and John Terry about their Stamford Bridge futures.
