The Presidency has risen in defence of Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu who came under scathing criticism by APC leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu for saying he is no magician to immediately solve the country's fuel scarcity issue.
Presidential spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina on Channels Television programme: “Sunday Politics,” yesterday said the minister should not be crucified for telling Nigerians the truth.
He pointed out that Nigerians were unhappy with the statement credited to the minister because they wanted him to perform magic which would make the commodity readily available in two weeks.
Adesina, however, stressed that the truth which Nigerians should accept was that it would take weeks before the scarcity would go away. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDelete"He pointed out that Nigerians were unhappy with the statement credited to the minister because they wanted him to perform magic which would make the commodity readily available in two weeks" I find this statement very ridiculous. If Akachukwu is already in the know that Nigerians need him to perform magic, it simply tells me that a message has been passed across to his office, the next thing is to work out a solution and not telling Nigerians what they already know...
