Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph, believes Watford striker Odion Ighalo needs some time out to overcome the mental block affecting his goal scoring form.
Ighalo’s drought has seen him score one goal in his last ten Premier League outings since the start of the year.
"That's not the sort of form which would see to our top striker in ahead of Super Eagles match against Egypt," Dosu stated.
"But I think it's more of a mental block. He is desperate to score and he's not at the moment. I think he probably needs some time out to get it right."
The Nigerian has started all but one of Watford’s league fixtures since the beginning of the year scoring 15 goals so far this season.
Ighalo is one of the four strikers called up by interim coach Samson Siasia for the 2017 African Nations Cup qualifying games against Egypt in Kaduna and in Alexandria.
