Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, is asking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to apologize for accusing him of illegal forex trading or be prepared to face a lawsuit.
Shehu, through his lawyers, Cherish Solicitors, wrote to the national PDP chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, notifying that the party has 72hours to retract the accusing publication and issue an appology of the receipt of the letter.
Last week, the PDP, through its twitter handle @PDPNigeria, had accused Mr Shehu of buying $800.000 from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) at official rate, and selling it off the same day at black market rate.
