The All Progressives Congress says it is difficult to get a replacement that can match the outstanding performance of its former spokesperson, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
The APC Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said this on Monday at a briefing with journalists at the party secretariat in Abuja.
According to him, the party has a problem getting a spokesperson to fit into Mohammed’s shoes.
He, however, said that the issue was being resolved and the party would have a spokesperson soon.
Mohammed, now Minister of Information and Culture, held sway as the party spokesperson during its years as opposition until the party won last presidential elections.
“I think arrangements have been completed to hold the necessary congresses to nominate a spokesperson.
“I think that should be done very shortly. In fact, the issue is getting somebody that can be as close as possible to the outstanding performance of the present minister of information, Lai Mohammed,” he said.
Odigie-Oyegun, who just resumed from a ten-day working leave, said he was glad to be back to work.
“I told you I was going on a break because I needed it. I’ve had a good break, I’ve had a bit of rest and I’m back to the office,” he said.
He assured that all party activities would hold as planned in the month.

... But you have already started looking for replacement kwo! The point is that no reasonable elder with integrity at state will agree to come because of politics to be lying in such a manner even before his great ground children. Tell me how your children and ground children will feel and see you? It is unfortunate that Yoruba elders traditionally are known to speak the truth but Lai is now an exception.
ReplyDeleteOn point.
DeleteThe man is a pathological liar. He had made Baba presidency/APC government a cocktail of lies, deceit and torture.
ReplyDeleteThen APC is doomed
ReplyDeleteA step up would be an agent of the devil.
ReplyDeleteIt is not only difficult to get a replacement but it is impossible to get one. Even the devil who is the father of lies is angry that Lai Mohammed tried to overthrow him at the game of lying. Only the devil can deputize for him occasionally
