Ikorodu United have relieved coach Edema Benson of his duties after a run of poor results in their debut season in the Nigeria league.
Former Nigeria international Benson took over from Belgian coach Maurice Cooreman, who won Ikorodu to the top flight last year.
Ikorodu lost 3-2 at home to Rivers United on Sunday.
It was their sixth loss of the season, while they have managed only a win and two draws.
They are second from bottom of the table with five points from nine matches.
Former Nigeria women’s coach Sam Okpodu will now take full charge of the Lagos club after he was presented to the public last week.
