The senator and media mogul wrote an open letter to the youths of Nigeria. Read below..
Youths of Nigeria, I want to communicate with you today. I noticed that there are too many divisions amongst our youths and as a stakeholder in Nigeria and parent of Nigerian children, I believe I ought to intervene.
Youths, do not make the mistakes my generation made.
Do not see yourselves through tribal and religious lens. My generation of Nigerians did that and look where it has led us. You must do better.
It is foolish for any youth to fight another youth over APC or PDP. Let me ask you, what is the difference between the APC and the PDP? Half of the members of the APC are former PDP members and vice versa.
Let me ask you youths a question: Do the APC and the PDP fight over you as you fight over them? How many ministers have they given you? How many ambassadors have they given you? How many heads of parastatals have they given you? That's right, the answer is ZERO!
So resist the desire of vested interests to control you and use you to fight other youths on social media and in real life.
What youths do not realize is that you are victims of divide and conquer. You make up 60% of the population yet account for 0% of the federal cabinet!
Your price should be more than a plate of rice and a handshake. Work together not against each other! Come on Nigerian youths, be smart!
If you think after you have been used to fight each other these vested interests will hand power to you, think again. Their kids who are abroad will do same to your kids!
It is time to end the hate and come together for Nigeria's good. Long after we are gone, you will be around. So learn to get along.
As I have said and I will keep saying, the youths are the leaders of today if only they will resist being used by vested interests.
How old is Trudeau, the Canadian PM. He was 43 when he became PM. You can be much more than a thug or Twitter overlord. You can be like Trudeau's.

ReplyDeleteGod bless you Sir! A word is enough for the wise. Be smart.
ReplyDeleteWell said ben10
ReplyDeleteMusings of a confused pseudo-Nigerian!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou true Nigerian muse yours...if you dont want to take his advice, continue being divided and you will continue to lose! APC psycho like you...hehehehe
Delete@ Safari. There will never be peace in Nigeria if we have people like you in the society. I pray you wake up from your slumber to embrace peace and see your fellow Southerners and Northerners as your brothers and sisters. APC or PDP are just names on papers and the people leading us under these platforms should be questioned about our future. Let say no to stomach and pocket money infrastructure.

ReplyDeleteThanks Brucie. Your insights are to be commended.
ReplyDeleteStill don't trust you enough but you make good sense.
Am one d loyl fans. Of Ben bruce,Neevertheless, let this minute stop writting letters to his aclimed youths rather, look for away of helping them out in his own capacity, the question is,ao many motion about the youth hs he raised in his capacity as a senator in the red house,ao many scholaships hs he giving out,as a serving senator with a constitutional right n duty to embark onconstituncy projects to be funded bythe poor masses tax ,wht have u,is there any priority for youth empowerment in all of these?...ur guess is as good as mine........Nigeria youth, indeed re voiceless bt helping us out is nt. Letter to the youth,of cos some of us can never do what senator's advice is all about........bt my own view is that we need something better than this letters...n pls admin...get me(us)his social media contact maybe we can write him too someday
ReplyDeleteif you vote for youths to be there, youth will move motions for youths..he is no longer a youth, he clearly said that at the beginning of the letter
DeletePrince fash that scholarship and what he is doing for the youth is why you will wait till you get old. Not what your country can do for you. What can you do for your country. You have the power in your vote. You will continue to suffer and come to social media to talk trash when you vote for visionless leaders and old cargos as your head of state, governors and senators. Instead of voting for a youth like yourself u feel jealous and embarrassed seeing a fellow youth like u trying to climb thag ladder of success. All for some token from the rich politicians. So wake up and let's put an end to this long suffering from one set of people ruling us years after years.
DeleteGood write up sir.
ReplyDeleteSincerely, even the devil can write a glorious article like this, but we can preach a better sermon with our lives than our lips; I do no see Ben doing that.
ReplyDeleteMuyiwa Adeyanju. What do you expect from Ben??
DeleteWow make sense
