Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala scored a goal on her debut for Arsenal Ladies in their 3-1 victory over Reading Women and she is now determined to bag more goals.
Dutch star Dominique Jansse put the Gunners ahead in the 34th minute with the woodwork denying Oshoala of her debut goal nine minutes later before the break.
On the resumption of the second half, the 21 year old sailed into the box and rounded the visitors goalkeeper before slotting into an empty net her first goal to double Arsenal's lead.
But Boho Sayo pulled one back for Reading in the 58th minute before Danielle Carter extended the Gunners' lead in the 70th minute to secure victory.
The impressive victory for Oshoala who last for 90 minutes in their opening game of the season temporarily puts the Pedro MartÃnez Losa's side atop of the WSL with three points and two goals.
"You haven't seen nothing yet." Oshoala said.
"I had fun tonight (Wednesday). It was a very good start for me as an individual, getting to know my teammates, getting to know a new role.
“I think it was a very good thing for me to grow into the game gradually.
“I promise to give my best to the team. I want Arsenal to win a trophy, win every competition, win every game we play in this season.
“I just have to give it my best in the training sessions and in every game give 100 per cent, this is a very competitive team.
“You have to give your best every time, because we have a lot of good players.
“Three points in the first game of the season is very important for us and very difficult as well, because it’s a home game against a new team and you don’t know the way they are going to play.
“It was a very good win for us.”
Arsenal ladies will next travel to Manchester to face Manchester City Ladies in their second game of the season on Monday, March 28.
