The city of Umuahia will be agog tomorrow as table topping Rangers of Enugu come visiting against home boys, Abia Warriors.
Only one point separates the two teams as Rangers currently sit atop the table on 10 points while Abia Warriors sixth on the table with nine points.
Victory over Rangers will see the Kennedy Boboye tutored side move to the top of the table but that will depend on the results of the matches involving the other top five teams, Kano Pillars, Mountain of Fire and Miracles FC, Lobi Stars and Rivers United.
The 1-1 draw away to Plateau United will surely propel Abia Warriors but they will be up against highly motivated Rangers who also secured a 1-0 home win against ambitious Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.
Elsewhere in Lagos, El-Kanemi Warriors will be guests of the ‘Leicester City’ of Nigerian League, Mountain of Fire and Miracle who are presently third on the log with 10 points same as Rangers and Pillars.
After playing a 0-0 draw against city rivals, MFM have will not stop at anything in their bid to return to the summit of the league.
However, El-Kanemi Warriors who recorded their first win against Enyimba will also try to turn return to their base with something in their kitty.
FC IfeanyiUbah also had a fruitful outing last Sunday and are in the mood to take on visiting Ikorodu United.
FC IfeanyUbah are highly favoured to nick this one but they must be careful with the new boys who have nothing to do with inferiority complex.
Tornadoes who lost 0-1 to Warri Wolves will welcome Rivers United in Lokoja while Giwa FC who suffered a 2-1 loss in the hands of 3SC in Ibadan will fight to make amends against visiting Sunshine Stars of Akure.
Giwa’s coach Gbenga Ogunbote who previously handled Sunshine Star surely knows one or two things about the ‘Akure Gunners’ and should be able to guide his team to victory in Jos.
