The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, at the end of its recent meeting issued a circular which attributed the slowdown in Nigeria's economy to the following reasons:
uncertainty around fiscal policy,
adverse external environment,
security challenges in some parts of the country affecting production and distribution of agricultural produce,
low electricity supply,
fuel shortages,
sluggish growth in credit to 15 the private sector
