The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) on Friday appointed Samson Siasia as new head coach of the Super Eagles.
The NFF made the announcement at the end of the federation’s technical committee meeting on Friday.
Siasia’s appointment followed the resignation of Sunday Oliseh as Eagles coach on Friday morning.
A statement on NFF website said Siasia will be assisted by Salisu Yusuf and Emmanuel Amuneke.
It can be recalled that Sunday Oliseh announced a sensational resignation from the Super Eagles job via Twitter early on Friday morning. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Not this time again Sia, after your last experience that led the termination of your contract as the super Eagles coach. You are patriotic, yes, but I think you shouldn't have taken this offer but to concentrate on your dream team. Cos if you fail to beat Egypt and qualify us, the bulk of the blame will still come upon you and I believe you know how the fans react to failure and it won't be good for your CV. Love you Sia and wish you all the best sha.

DeleteSiasia pls concentrate on the dream team. Pls dont allow them to bring in Manu garba. Or let Amuneke take over the dream team. But for God's sake NO MANU GARBA/VICTOR IKPEBA
