The Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, has recalled the State Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Fred Kpakol, from suspension.
Also recalled from suspension is the State Accountant-General, Mr. Abere Dagogo.
The governor suspended the duo on Friday through a statement by his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu.
But Wike in another statement by Nwakaudu on Monday said the governor lifted the suspension on Kpakol and Dagogo on Sunday.
The statement read, “Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Valentine’s Day lifted the suspension of the State Finance Commissioner, Dr. Fred Kpakol, and the State Accountant-General, Sir Abere Dagogo.”
Kpakol however denied an online report that he was sad about his suspension and was ready to open expose secrets about the governor.
