Popular senator, Ben Murray-Bruce may just be the perfect example of popular saying ‘practice what you preach.’
Ben Bruce, at his 60th birthday party, which was held a few days ago in Abuja, launched a book titled, ‘CommonSense Revolution’ and shared free copies to guests in attendance.
An imprint in the publication suggests that the book was not printed in Nigeria but in the United States.
So, #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira advocate made his book in the USA. Haba @benmurraybruce. @Ayourb @MrAbuSidiq @APCNigeria pic.twitter.com/JchGQ08Fy4— Lauretta Onochie (@Laurestar) February 23, 2016
@benmurraybruce do you know how many quality printers we have in Lagos ?Why print in the US ?@Laurestar @Ayourb pic.twitter.com/kObqsbgcAu— #bringbackourgirls (@dejifapo) February 23, 2016
In a series of tweets, Nigerians have come against the Bayelsa State Senator and the Silverbird CEO, who for many weeks was an advocate of ‘buy in Nigeria goods’ for doing the exact opposite, saying he is a hypocrite.
Abubakar Sidiq Usman, in his twitter handle by the name, @MrAbuSidiq, said Ben Murray Bruce has no moral justification for advocating#BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira since he printed his book in the US.
You keep telling Nigerians to #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira but you went to print your #CommonSense revolution book in the US. Loool
Lauretta Onochie (@Laurestar) also agrees with Usman that an advocate of #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira shouldn’t have printed his book outside the country if he had wanted the naira to grow.

Imagine, so Ben Bruce did not even print his book, ‘A Commonsense Revolution’ here in Nigeria? #BuyNaija, Noise – making venture!

I have since stopped watching stv because of mr bruised media advocacy for common sense. He doesn't even pay his staff and yet gallivanting about common sense in a nonsense manner.
ReplyDeleteLook @ ur name sef....honestly,you are a saddist....no doubt...
DeleteGullible Senator Bruce is champion of some equally gullible and foolish Nigerians, case closed!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is Nadja for you. Always the opposite.
ReplyDeleteYou should have known his Scottish and Lebanese parents. His father made slaves out of his Domino Stores staff at Sabo, Yaba. His Mum was using her cosmetic outfit to pimp beautiful Nigerian ladies, on which foundation Ben Bruce launched the beauty pageantry he now still bilks millions out of poor Nigerian ladies.
ReplyDeleteAnimal want dash us Common sense.........Common Sense is our property
ReplyDeleteCommon sense documentary is just a needed noise-making campaign strategy for future presidential ambition, that's it, lolz
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, have you checked how long it takes to print a book? When did he start advocating for made in Nigeria goods? And is the campaign more beneficial to the masses or to Ben Bruce? Even if we want to castigate him for doing this one thing wrong, why not praise him for doing something great - before him there hasn't been a successful national campaign to encourage #MadeInNigeria products. Lets us look beyond Ben Bruce and see the bigger picture - more Nigerians are not selling their products, more people are careful not to buy foreign goods against local ones. This is good for us. A Bode George or an Alameseigha can become a changed person and bring forth good works, should we George them by their past? Just like the senate wants to terminate Remitta, without looking at the good impact it has made. People can register for CAC or Intellectual Property from any where in Nigeria without heading to Abuja or CAC offices. Payments are directed to one point and it is clearly recorded, what more is better than that. The owners of the idea and software should be paid well for such innovation, where there is unacceptable acts, then correct them and lets move forward. God bless Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteBen Bruce is such a hypocrite, how many nollywood movies shown in siverbird cinema in a week but he keeps promoting Hollywood.
