It was indeed a season of wedding bells as two Super Eagles stars, Ogenyi Onazi and Simon Moses both got hooked in Nigeria with their respective brides few days ago.
Nigerian midfielder Ogenyi Onazi married his fiancée Sandra Ogunsuyi in a private ceremony in Lagos on December 29.
Onazi’s event follows those of Super Eagles teammates John Ogu and Simon Moses.
Onazi, who plays for Lazio in the Italian Serie A, and Sandra tied the knot at the marriage registry in Ikoyi.
“I thank God for such a special day. Getting married is a milestone in the life of a man; to get married to a woman who you love and who loves you makes it even more special,” Onazi said in the New Year.
The bride, who is a Public Administration graduate, wore a low-cut white lace gown and hat for the ceremony. A reception followed immediately far out of public glare.
It was also learnt that the footballer and his queen were engaged for one year before the marriage.
Moses Simon
Super Eagles forward winger Moses Daddy Ajala Simon also tied the knot with his fiancé, Ibukun Sarah Adenuga in Ibadan on Tuesday, December 29 2015.
Simon plays for Belgian pro league club KAA Gent.
Just two days ago before the wedding, played for 77 minutes in Gent’s 2-0 defeat away to KV Mechelen in the Belgium Jupiler League to cut their lead on top of the table to just 3 points as they struggle to pull away from Club Brugge.
The 20-year-old Nigeria international attacker has scored just twice in the league leaders’ run of 16 games so far this season.
