Controversial Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua has released a list of bleak predictions for the New Year 2016, particularly directed towards the continent of Africa.
Known for his unconventional antics, Joshua shunned protocol by cancelling his yearly ‘crossover service’, opting rather to address followers live on Christian television network Emmanuel TV from an undisclosed location.
“There will be large scale scarcity, shortage of food,” Joshua, who is the Pastor of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) based in Lagos, Nigeria, began.
“As a state, country, continent, we have to go back to the farm to arrest, to alleviate the forthcoming situation,” he emphasised in the ‘prophecy’ which was later posted on the ministry’s official Facebook page.
“I encourage the governments of all nations to invest in agriculture and to grant loans to deserving citizens to augment this effort,” he went on.
Joshua, who was recently named one of the world’s most famous prophets by an American ranking website, spoke scathingly about Africa, citing the continent’s inability to manage its teeming resources as its major bane. “The continent of Africa – how much have we disappointed God,” he soberly noted.
“Africa is supposed to be the breadbasket of the world. We are supposed to produce a large quantum of food for the world. This is our natural resource base. Food should be our primary export to other continents, food in exchange for technology,” he continued.
Moving on to the political scene, the cleric called on African leaders to “quickly arrest the political situation.”
He stated that the frequency of terrorist attacks in the continent would increase. “More African countries will be under siege by terrorists because of pros and cons in choosing leaders. Mishandling of electoral processes will create a conducive atmosphere for terrorists.”
Joshua continued that people will stop investing in politics because of “limited resources and challenges”, adding that this would pave the way for those with genuine intentions to run for political office.
“When you are genuinely called to do the job, you will do it because of your love for it and not because of money,” he stated.
“This year, do what you love. There’s money in love. Money in love brings peace and tranquillity,” he further admonished.
Joshua’s prediction closed with a prayer for Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari. “He has good intentions but a king’s intentions cannot be carried out properly without the support of the subjects. He needs your support to lead us out of the valley,” the cleric stated.
“The president will do everything to reject revaluation of the naira – which is a good idea from a good leader. But there will be overwhelming pressure which he will not be able to resist. Nigerians, support and pray for your leader. The future is crying for help,” he vividly described.
Despite the worrisome nature of his predictions, Joshua termed 2016 ‘The Year Of Reward’, stating that believers would be strengthened in the midst of their struggles.
“Start your year on your knees,” he advised, adding it was an ‘instruction from God’ for believers to begin and end their days in heartfelt prayer.
"What you were destined to become, this is the year to become it because this is the year of reward,” the cleric declared while on his knees in a location surrounded by trees and water.
"The voice of weeping, sorrow, setback and sickness shall be silenced, in the name of Jesus Christ,” he further prayed.
A day earlier on Wednesday 30th December 2015, Joshua posted a sermon about the dangers of offence on YouTube, a topic he further addressed in the live broadcast.
“Just because you were mistreated, persecuted, lied against, cheated or wrongly accused, as a believer, you do not have permission or the right to hold on to offence,” he counselled.
“Two wrongs do not make a right,” he declared, calling on people to ‘let go of offence’.
“When you retain an offence in your heart, you filter everything through it,” he said, explaining that although offence was unavoidable, the response of people to it was what really counted.
Joshua counts several African leaders among his followers, including the newly elected President of Tanzania John Magufuli who has been unanimously lauded for the positive strides the East African nation has taken since the start of his presidency.
His television station Emmanuel TV was added to the DSTV bouquet in November 2015, bringing the Nigerian cleric to an even wider audience across Africa.

Honestly, do you believe that all these people healed, and blessed via Prophet T.B Joshua are faked? Volumes upon volumes all over the world are faked? And there is no world movement or outrage to close the church? Yet people all over the world still seek even in larger numbers the same 'fake' healings and miracles? Haba! Think and reason well. If possible do personal interviews of those healed. Yes, as a result of this the Internationally recognized Religious Monitoring Group have investigated Joshua and the Synagogue, Church of All Nations and have concluded that he is a genuine man of God and that his work is of the Holy Spirit. His chief critics was denounced by this Internal ional Watchdog Group as morally bankrupt and as adulterers who has political ambitions.
The overseas critics are relying on hearsay evidence and none of them have personally visited the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations.

With dwindling oil price what next is Africa supposed to do? Economists have prophesied all this before. And note that the bible has said things will go from bad to worse. But you could not foresee the collapse of your own church building and the death of over 100 of your guests? Do you have supernatural powers to foresee anything at all? You certainly don’t. ReplyDeleteGod reveals and His anointed servant cascades it to all. Prophet T.B. Joshua has never claimed self supernatural powers as you claim. He has always attributed all to God's grace and saying Jesus is the healer etc. In the old there were also prophets yet calamities happen. It all comes to God's will which the prophet always cites. If a prophecy can be changed, then prayer will do so, but if it's God's will for the incidence to happen, no prayer can change it. But first, revelation then we pray for the will of God to prevail.

Multitude of other accurate prophecies exist, confirmed healings, breakthroughs etc in international crusades over the decades, not just a few years. I mean crusades in Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Australia, United Kingdom, U.S.A, Mexico, Colombia, South Africa, etc. These were over decades and many countries are still asking for him to come for crusade. Are you more intelligent and a better researcher than all these people for them not to have closed down Synagogue or the prophet? Yet foreign visitors still flock around the church every week upon week. It is always a loser that cites just one thing to cling to in order to make a point.
DeleteIf you have been watching Emmanuel TV, you would've seen that prophecies were made concerning the church collapse: dark cloud hanging over, if a bomb were to happen in the church people will go international giving very bad image of the country, crossing the bridge etc. But because people lost their lives and they have loved ones, as a SCOAN fan I won't join issues with you here. But know that all depends on what is the will of God. A man close to God and have the grace of God on him can perform miracles and many wondrous things, but the will of God supercedes. Jesus knew Judas would betray him yet he didn't stop him because it was God's will. People should stop seeing Prophets of God as being God. Having watched many miraculous healings on videos from the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Nigeria a group of three New Zealand pastors and four evangelists including myself went to the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Nigeria and lived there for nine days and nights. We wanted to satisfy ourselves that T.B. Joshua is a man of God and miracles were in fact taking place.

What we saw :
Blind eyes opened, cripples walking and dozens of testimonies from people who had been healed of HIV and other diseases.
Some of us received healings ourselves.
Spiritual overview:
We heard the name of Jesus Christ being continuously uplifted, the Gospel, repentance and salvation being continuously preached and the work of the Holy Spirit honoured.
After nine days at the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations we concluded that T.B. Joshua is indeed a man of God and these are the works of God.
Group from New Zealand:
Among our group there were three senior pastors, two evangelists and two men leading major Christian work in New Zealand. Between us we had 180 years of ministry.
Our conclusion was that this is truly a work of God.
Hmmmmmm everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, judge not for ye not be judged. I rest my case.
