Photos/Video: Nigerian man without a degree builds mini Aircraft

Nigerian man Aghogho Ajiyen from Delta state, builds Aircraft with local materials. Even without a University degree, he assembles these machines and make them to fly. He assembled his first aircraft in 1999 but didn't succeed at it.

He continued and got better with his next try. He said he does his research on how to assembly aircraft by himself and decided to put it to test.

He even installs a camera on them which he uses to survey his environment and has developed his own special fuel for his aircraft.

  1. This is good and it worth been praised, compensated, encouraged and celebrated. Our government should try to encourage this man's talent with everything requires to ensure we finally build a Nigerian made aircraft.
Nigeria government should be encouraging intellectualism of people like these not only the sports men and women alone as it's used to be.
Even encouraging something like these is better than celebrating musicians or dancer whose brings no financial value to the country

  2. Brilliant but in today's world some school would do you good. Get a job, make money then when you talk people would listen and invest. You're very creative.

  5. Must you have a degree before you excel? The American brothers who first flew a plane in history didn't have to learn rocket science.

  7. It's just sad that what we see on TV everyday doesn't encourage Nigerian children to think like this.
All they push to us is junk content: Dance Shows, Reality Shows, Singing competition, just plain, non-content programmes that play down our capacity to think!
It's good to know that there exists Nigerians like this who ignore all the noise and drive their brains to full use.
    Kudos man. Very Nice One.

  10. THIS YOUNG MAN MUST RECOGNIZE THAT THE TECHNOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE ADVANCE TO HIM IS FROM THE HEAVENLY BODY! UNIQUE KNOWLEDGE LIKE THIS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO BLACK YOUTHS IN ORDER TO CREATE AN ENVIABLE POSITION FOR BLACK RACE. THIS IS A PROMISE FROM GOD ALMIGHTY. THERE ARE MORE OF THIS UNIQUE KNOWLEDGE THAT WILL SPREAD ACROSS AFRICA AND VERY SOON. MY ADVICE, THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD INVEST INTO THIS TECHNOLOGIES UNIQUELY RELEASE FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF HUMANITY. THERE ARE OTHERS WHO ARE ADEQUATELY AND UNIQUELY BLESSED WITH THIS OPPORTUNITY.

  11. Nigeria why must we act like illiterates. The young man only made radio controlled(rc) plane and you are praising him as if he invented flight itself. Although I'm not trying to discourage Aghogho, I'm very proud to hear that a Nigerian has such a passion for aviation. God has blessed him with the essential knowledge of building RC planes but even greater blessings are coming ahead. I'm an autodidact in this field as well but I'm not chanced to participate due to my upcoming WEAC.

  12. Nigeria why do we act like people who have never seen plane before. Aghogho simply just made a radio controlled (RC) plane that runs on a small glow engine without a cowling to cover it. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not trying to discourage him. In fact, I'm very happy to hear that a Nigerian has the same passion for aviation just like I do. But if we really want people like him to succeed, the answer is not to take them abroad where the whites will either discourage or use them, but to establish institutes here in Nigeria for people to come to us to develop their skills. Aghogho keep it up but it's high time you do more research and development. God has truly blessed you.
