What started as a jibe from Olamide hurled at Mavin boss, Don Jazzy during the controversial Headies award #leavetrashforlawma has now transformed into a new social media movement to promote the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA)
It can be recalled that the duo got involved in ‘Headies Drama‘, after Olamide blasted the organisers of the annual awards for not recognising his protege, Lil Kesh as the Next Rated Artiste. Don Jazzy mocked him (Olamide) by saying “Egbon Olamide, if you want the car, come and collect it”. The 2015 Headies Next Rated Artiste Award winner goes home with a Hyundai SUV car. The category was won by Don Jazzy’s boy, Reekado Banks.
The Lagos State Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, joined the tirade between YBNL’s CEO, Olamide Adedeji and Mavin’s boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy.
To underscore the importance of the punchline to the waste managers, they joined the conversation on Twitter with the post, “In 2016 we urge all our customers to #leavetrashforlawma use the licensed PSP operator in your area”
Sterling Bank, a major partner of LAWMA also joined the conversation with the tweet, “Let’s take this opportunity to appreciate #LAWMA for their work. Supported by #SterlingBankNg. #LeaveTrashForLAWMA”
NigerianEye gathered that the #leavetrashforlawma is now a trending topic on Twitter and presently the hottest trending punchline which is now used to design T-shirts and caps, which are now selling very hot in stores.
