Man jailed for one year for stealing Oranges

For stealing oranges worth N10,000, a middle aged man was yesterday sentenced to 12 months imprisonment by an Osun State Magistrate’s court.
Delivering her judgement at Modakeke in Ife East Area Office Senior Magistrate, Mrs Bose Awosan, the convict, Yinusa Adeleke, 30, was however given an option of N5,000 fine.
Yinusa Adeleke was found guilty of stealing oranges worth N10,000, property of one Issa Alao after he had pleaded guilty to the one count charge of stealing.
The prosecutor, Sgt Ona Glory, told the court that the convict, who resides at Oku-Omoni in Modakeke, committed the offence on Jan 1, 2016 around 12 pm at Oku-Omoni, Modakeke-Ife.
Glory had alleged that the accused person was caught in the act of stealing oranges from the complainant’s shop and subsequently handed over to the police.
The prosecutor added that the offence contravened sections 383, 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11, Laws of Osun, 2003.

Where are the Human Right lawyers? why cant they fight for the human right of this guy? OR doesnt he deserve to go and see his doctors too? Foolish lawyers always defend people that have stolen our common wealth and will never defend petty thieves! OBJ has once said that Lawyers are one of the problems of this country! I can never agree less. Lets see how may years jail term will be given to Dasuki and his cohorts. CORRUPT JUDICIARY!!!!!

Ebun Adegboruwa will not see this, he would rather rant on channels TV on behalf of Olisa Metuh. The judges are too corrupt. Haba. I hope Dasuki will get 1000 years in jail. Rubbish.
