The Leader of the #BringBackOurGirls (#BBOG) movement, Oby Ezekwesilli , on Thursday accused President Muhammadu Buhari of not being emotionally connecting to the crying Chibok girls’ mothers that marched to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.
Parents of Chibok girls crying yesterday |
Ezekwesilli said from the feedback they got, it was clear the President feels he has already given his best in the efforts to rescue the girls.
The former minister of Education spoke after members of the group converged at the Unity fountain after their interaction with the President.
She also said lack of response from government has made the girls’ parents to feel like they are being ignored simply because they are poor and reside in the village.
Ezekwesilli also accused the Minister of Women affairs, Aisha Alhassan, of attempting to break the ranks of the movement through her comments.
She said, “You heard all the parents said at the meeting, is it because we are poor? Is it because we live in the forest? Is it because we live in the village? But that has no meaning in any society, there is no basis for discrimination on the basics of social status, political view, religious belief and other primordial device against any citizen.
“In the feedback from the President you can see clearly that the President feels that he has given his best in the efforts to rescue our Chibok girls, our President however was not able to emotionally connect to those crying mothers. That is an important attribute but we will continue to demand and we will take up the responsibility that the NSA has taken and we will make sure that we don’t stop until our girls are back and alive.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Ezekwesili how market? Just shot up your mouth. You succeeded in pulling down the previous govt with your propaganda. How did it go down with you now. The breeze have blew and we have seen the anus of the cock. I was told you had an affair with Buhari to favour you as one of the ministers and you were disappointed.

ReplyDeleteas a matter of truth fellow Nigerians, what do we want GMB to do concerning the chibokc girls? he ordered the soldiers to ensure their freedom if they are still alive and optionally and diplomatically he said if any of the sect member can assure the wellbeing and whereabouts of those girls, he is very much ready to negotiate with such and he is a man of his words. then, what better a good country leader can do, fellow Nigerians, ezekwesili pls let's be patriotic enough and join hands in the geometric developmental processes embarked upon by this devoted and patriotic administration. it's not a must to talk neither is it a must to antagonize government; we should only antagonize when government is unpatriotic in decision making. for us to achieve a better Nigeria, let's make necessary but difficult sacrifices and our future will be secured. it happened in South Africa and today South Africa is competing with powerful world countries. God bless Nigeria.
ReplyDelete"As a matter of truth fellow Nigerians, what would we have wanted Goodluck Jonathan to do concerning the chibokc girls? he ordered the soldiers to ensure their freedom if they are still alive and optionally and diplomatically he said if any of the sect member can assure the wellbeing and whereabouts of those girls, he was very much ready to negotiate with such and he is a man of his words. then, what better a good country leader can do, fellow Nigerians, Ezekwesili pls you would have been patriotic enough and join hands in the geometric developmental processes embarked upon by the devoted and patriotic past Jonathan administration".I which you told her this during the past administration Nigeria would have being better than this by now. Let us have Nigeria in heart instead of the selfish leaders (both the past and present) we have...
Delete@ Ben; what's the difference between the order PMB gave and the one GEJ gave? Till date boko boys are still holding onto territories, killing and maiming innocent civilians while mr president has continued to give order for their extermination, the question is what is d difference btw now and then? Don't be a fool.

ReplyDeleteGod bless you mr benjamin but when a govt come in with falsehood he ll surely reap what he or she has sow my dear brother that is nature 4 u
ReplyDeleteThe unanswered question is this: If indeed the North-East has been liberated from BH, and with hundreds or thousands of women and children rescued, how come not one of those rescued has been identified as one of the Chibok girls? Do we really believe that the terrorists who keep running for their lives are still able to keep those girls?
ReplyDeleteMy take is that while some of the girls may have died, many of them have actually escaped and returned to their families. But the families would not admit it for fear of stigmatisation of their daughters.
APC must compensate you with one position whether they like it or not. Cikena!
ReplyDeleteGMB is not emotionally connected to the crying Chibok girls’ mothers abi, do you want him to start weeping and screaming "there is God o, there is God o"
ReplyDeleteWell GMB is also clueless like GEJ. Do not tell me to give him chance because you never gave GEJ chance
ReplyDeleteYou're obviously a biased GEJ supporter, he had 6yrs as the president, what other chance do you want for him, the kidnap of the chibok girls is one of the messes 'Mr stealing is not corruption' left for the present govt
DeleteDr Oby Ezekwesili stood up to be counted when it mattered most, when both State and Federal Government were pussy-footing over whether or not Chibok girls were abducted. The gross failure of Borno Government and the Local Government in Chibok was deflected by opposition obsession with Federal Government failure in the Chibok affair. If the good Oby did for humanity over the Chibok Girls issue is not convenient to the Hausa Fulani, Federal Government past or present, or any one for that matter - not to worry, God already said it is convenient to Him. Women across Nigeria needs to role model Oby Ezekwesili and stand up forcefully for issues that trample on women security and rights. That's the greater benefit of Oby's BringBack our girls campaign. Mark you, if it were Ibo girls in a secondary school down east had be abducted like the Chibok girls - it is 'very very unlikely' that a woman from the core north of Oby's calibre would have risen to campaign their release as Oby did - unless they are female Wole Soyinka (the major voice who risked his neck to condemn the massacre of Igbo people following the 1966 counter-coup). Oby deserves a Nobel Prize for her role in fostering the BringBackOurGirls movement. If it were Governors' or Generals' daughters that were abducted - the chances are, they would have since been rescued. The truth about Nigeria is not only to do with systemic corruption - it included the fact that in Nigeria all lives do not have equal value by reasons of being poor, voiceless or not in the ruling party.
ReplyDeleteChimdindu Osuagwu is my name (07036947725).
Let us first ask ourselves this question, Are these girls really missing? Boko haram are on the run, running with the abducted girls straped on their backs or hidden inside their pockets. Our former amiable president GEJ dismissed it as a rumour at the time and Nigerians called him an insensitive president. Pmb promised to rescue them within two months of winning the election and nine months down the road, he has almost started believing that there is no such thing otherwise, why setting up probe team. Madam Oby, how much are you getting out of this? This is just too dramatic to believe.
