Twosons of former Minister of state for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Messr Babajide and Gbolahan Obanikoro are currently on the radar of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Sources at the anti- graft agency disclosed that N4,745,000,000.00 was traced to a company, Sylvan McNamara Limited, in which they have interest.
The money was allegedly paid in several tranches into the company’s account number: 0026223714 with Diamond bank from the Office of the National Security Adviser account with the CBN. According to the source, all the transfers were effected between June and December 2014, a period that coincided with the preparation for and conduct of the Ekiti state governorship election, which ushered in the current administration of Governor Ayodele Fayose.
For instance N200 million was transferred into Sylvan Mc Namara’s account on June 5, 2015, while N2billion was also wired into the account from the CBN/ Imprest Main account on June 16, 2015. Another transfer of N700 million hit the account on July 7, 2014, while N1billion was credited to the account on July 30, 2014. Other transfers included: N160 million on August 8, 2014; N225 million on August 22, 2014; N200 million on November 14, 2014 and N200 million on December 5, 2014.
Sources disclosed that both Gbolahan and Babajide Obanikoro, as directors of the company, were also signatories to its account until 2014 when one Olalekan Ogunseye was made the sole signatory to the account. EFCC sources disclosed that the payments to the company from the office of the National Security Adviser were made without any contract. At last the EFCC bus which took off from Oyingbo, has just gotten to Obanikoro Bus Stop to pick him...I hope the next passenger is getting ready along the route.
ReplyDeleteHahaha no be small things ohhh at oyingbo. Imagine traffic since 2014 just the arrive oyingbo now. Larmode Ibrahim the driver slept off now the conductor magu is von steering now.
DeleteThese people have killed Nigeria....See as millions and billion just dey hit account like rainfall..Jonathan regime is very loose to have allowed a lot of stolen money from our treasury.EFCC,please who is next ? When are you arresting Fani Kayode ? Open his file we are waiting....
ReplyDeleteWhen PMB told us that the names of looters will be unfolded in batches, we thought he was just blabbing, now we can see that he meant business. God will not grant those who looted our commonwealth rest here in this world & in the hereafter.
ReplyDeleteThe Efcc has made their own allegtion with facts to support their claim that loosted money was transfered to their account. But as it is in law, they have their own defence to raise. They must be given fair hearing. The law is open for both parties (Be it Efcc or the accused)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that they deserve to be heard before crucifixion but did you equally read where it said "no award of contract" was made to the company. And come to think of it logically, what sort of contract could the office of the NSA or CBN could have awarded them to attract such huge amount of money in a short period. Call a spade a spade, those are stolen money.

DeleteAll the stolen money must be recovered and investments therefrom confiscated, seized, auctioned and the proceeds remitted into government coffers
ReplyDeleteIf APC used monies from the state governments they were controlling to campaign wouldn't they have done same if they were at the federal level. Security votes is money that we all know these politicians misappropriate. 2.1B is little fraction to the 600B that was voted for. Jona still claims the weapons he bought is what the army is using till date. APC is shooting themselves in the leg becos politicians will always look for money to campaign and campaigns take a lot of money. This political fight will continue from one government to the other and the idea of free and fair elections will become a mirage since the party in government will want to cover up her dirty deals. To fight corruption is good but am worried about this fight that has to do with campaigns. Our political parties espectially the big ones are all guilty. Until elections and campaigns become less expensive politicians will continue to steal because even nigerians encourage them to steal to meet up. One thing I will love dis government to do is the verification and investigation of asset aquisition by public figures and lodgements in banks. Stealing to acquire so much is the nos 1 crime.
ReplyDeleteThe amount looted is far beyond the needs of campaign.
DeleteAfteall what section of the constitution give them the right to squander from government coffers at their discretion?
Any justification for that, please?
So all these so-called big boys are just big thieves from parents to children making real hustlers look like lazy men/women.
ReplyDeleteAbi ooo my broda. Sometimes I wonder what on earth they do to have such money. Thank God for PMB, I am now encouraged to keep hustling . Atleast after hustling I go home and sleep with my two eyes open, but those thieves can't because they knew Magu may knock at any moment. Hahaha! High BP. Doctors get ready to make ur own fortune cos d fear of PMB n Magu is d cause of recent increase in cases of High BP
DeleteOnly GOD can save this country. The so called politician does not care for the masses. Those looters suppose to face fireing squad.
