The All Progressives Congress, APC in Ekiti State has called on Governor Ayodele Fayose to effect the payment of Ekiti pensioners’ retirement benefits.
The party added that the governor’s refusal to pay pensioners their retirement benefits had resulted in the deaths of some pensioners, saying those who have served the state meritoriously in the past should not be allowed to suffer.
Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said in a statement that the appeal became imperative on the heels of the recent death of the State Secretary of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners, Pa Rufus Ogedengbe, who died because he could not afford simple medicare.
He said it is heartless for the governor to deny pensioners their entitlements over purported shortage of funds while buying up pages of newspapers to abuse the President for self-serving motives on a daily basis. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Fayose has no good plan for the state. He has been there over a year but nothing good to show up as a developmental project. Fayose is only good at pointing accusing fingers on people that are even older than his father as if he too will not get old. I pity Ekiti state under Fayose. APC should brace up and Fayose back to his village and allow somebody that has good plan to take over from him. the noise maker and empty barrel governor.
