$2.1 Billion arms deal: It’s a rubbish talk that Falae got N100 million from Dasuki – SDP

The Osun State Chapter of Social Democratic Party (SDP), has described as rubbish the insinuation that the party’s National Chairman, Chief Olu Falae received N100 million from the former National Security Adviser (NSA) to President Goodluck Jonathan, Col. Dasuki.

In a statement issued in Osogbo, on Sunday, by the chairman, Chief Ademola Ishola, the party insisted that Falae never received any money from the ex-NSA.

He stated that President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) was out to destroy Falae because the former presidential candidate and his party did not support them during the last election.

According to him, during the last presidential election, the SDP has a working agreement with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to support its presidential candidate, Dr. Jonathan since, “the SDP has no presidential candidate.

“As a party, we have no presidential candidate and our party endorsed the PDP’s candidate. And we agreed on principle and the PDP and not Dasuki released the sum of N100 million for mobilization of all our teaming members across the country to support Jonathan and the PDP.

“This is a rubbish talk that Falae took N100million from Dasuki. The said money was declared by Chief Falae to the party and over N5million of it was received by and party, the SDP in Osun state.

“President Buhari and the APC were only engaged in a smearing campaign against our leader because they don’t want any opposition to speak against all their anti-peoples’ policies,” Ishola stated.

  1. It is shameful of the so called chairman of SDP, Chief Ademola Ishola to denies what the accused elder Falae has confirmed.

There must be a change in allowing Mushroom to register any party that be sold to higher bidder in any future election.

  3. Is N100 million naira not over N5 million naira? Or What is the definition of over N5 million naira.
Nigerians have brain and they reasoned not like them.
HE should say the exact amount collected or accepted it as Falae has admitted to it.

  4. These so called elders all have moral issues. Falae said he collected 100m to support Jonadaft and this silly man is talking trash. Better refund your own share. Sadly all these agbayas were claiming to support Jonadaft in order to implement the national conference report not knowing they were all paid while Nigerians continue to suffer. All of you will not know peace.

  5. Rubbish talk from Osun SDP.So the only defence for all accused of corruption is blackmail rather than proving their innocence. Ants calling themselves elephant. Interesting:when parties are called, SDP rises to be counted!!.It shows how naïve GEJ was to think that Falae, Osoba, etc and their SDP have any electoral value to deliver to him. If a party that boasted itself to be the biggest party in Africa had to approach SDP for assistance for electoral victory after ruling for 16 years, it actually show how jittery and desperate GEJ and his party were during the 2015 elections. What a shame of a strategy.Okay now. You don't want to wait until Falae begins to give account and give names of the beneficiary.
