Cristiano Ronaldo scored four and Real Madrid scored eight as Malmo were taken apart at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick of his own and Mateo Kovacic was also on target as Rafael Benitez’s men showed no mercy to their Swedish opposition.
Benzema scored the first two of the night, before Ronaldo took over, scoring four in a row to take his tally in the group stages to 11 - beating his own record of nine.
Kovacic then joined in the fun before Benzema completed his treble.
