Clearly displeased by the “Frivolous Petitions (Prohibitions, Etc.) Bill, 2015″ sponsored by Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, the Deputy Senate Leader, who represents Kebbi South Senatorial District, Nigerian social media activists on Tuesday, stormed the National Assembly, Abuja, for a rally tagged #NoToSocialMediaBill.

The protest which took-off from the Unity Fountain, Maitama, Abuja, saw activists, mostly youths converging from across several states.

Recall that in a joint statement on Sunday, the conveners of #NoToSocialMediaBill, Aisha Yesufu, Anthony Ehilebo, Ariyo Atoye and Mukhtar Dan’Iyan, had promised to galvanize Nigerian youths to kick against the bill.
