Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has instructed his lawyers to appeal today's judgment of the Court of Appeal which ordered fresh governorship election in the State.
In a statement issued by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Governor Wike stated that he disagrees with the judgment, hence his decision to exhaust his constitutional right by challenging the Appeal Court judgment at the Supreme Court.
Governor Wike called on all his supporters and the people of Rivers State to remain calm as Justice will be done at the end of day.
He assured the people of the state that he will use all constitutional processes to protect the mandate they freely bestowed on him, hence his decision to approach the Supreme Court for further adjudication.
The governor said that he still remains the duly elected governor of Rivers State pending the determination of his appeal by the Supreme Court.
Governor Wike assured the people of Rivers State that all ongoing development projects will continue while his administration will continue to promote the security of lives and property across the state. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Wicked Wike, are you still in bricks house(seat of power of rivers state government)?, where you not told that you are only a caretaker governor?. You should start packing your few personal effects as quickly as possible to avoid unprecedented embarrassment and disgrace. They will not only embarrass and disgrace you, you will also be sent to jail as justice demands for the innocent blood you spilled

ReplyDeleteBros, this isn't good enough. Truth is that Wike should stop wasting Rivers State money on litigation. If he was actually enjoying the mandate of the masses, let him accept these judgements and go to the field. It is a very simple thing. The earlier he does that, the better for him. Also, looks like everything that came from GEJ is bad luck for the people involved. It's really a pity.
DeleteMay you be sautéed the way Wiked Wike killed those innocent people
DeleteBig fool that's what you will be throughout your miserable life on earth
ReplyDeleteSouth south will be APC. That is where the oil comes from. It must be controlled by the northern elites as it is not enough to just award oil blocks to mainly northerners and thier puppets. River Bayelsa Akwa Ibom will be APC.
ReplyDeleteI know that there will be re-run of Gubernatorial election in Rivers State if the report of the international election observers was anything to go by. It should not be a surprise that the Governor wants to exploit his constitutional right fully. I called that a respect for rules of law. We await the judgment of the apex court.
ReplyDeletePlease the Judiciary in Nigeria works for the govt in power, am not a fan of Wike but would ve loved somebody that will probe Amechi's wickedness Dakuku is just his toy.
ReplyDeleteI wait for the day when SS people will begin to ask questions. This is not about Wike alone, this is about few people waiting their huge resources. Sadly their people are okay with the crumbs. Wike should not be scared for a rerun, but he won't get the federal support from mama piss.
