The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in Edo State has commended the state governor, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, for the prompt payment of workers’ salaries, describing the state as lucky, unlike some other states in the country.
Chairman of NLC in the state, Emmanuel Ademokun, in a statement, described Oshiomhole’s seven years reign as a huge success, pointing out that the governor’s efforts in blocking leakages in the ministries had yielded fruit.
He appealed to governors of other states to emulate Governor Oshiomhole in the payment of salaries, saying, “It is very sad today that some of our colleagues went home for Christmas and New Year without getting their November and December salaries.
“That is why we sincerely thank our governor for his unflinching commitment in the payment of worker’s salaries up to date. Our governor has clearly shown that he is a man of distinction who sees workers as assets and not liabilities.”

Unlike some unfortunate state like Osu state where workers are receiving half salary.shame on Ogbeni for bringing bad luck to Osu state.
ReplyDeleteUttermost Rubish...hailing sm1 for paying salaries that people have worked for. Shame to NLC, this is how they make Public Servants turn Demi Gods. That's why Nigeria Politicians can't think beyond making roads n drainage. We should look for strides likes Obudu cattle ranch, Malaysia Palm trees ventures, something outside the box not boreholes or building culvert.

ReplyDeleteNLC is without focus, shameless people. Did the people get paid for not working? Or did he pay people that are not engaged in service? A workman is worthy of his wages, so I see no reason for praising him for partially sitting g up to his responsibilities.
ReplyDeleteI am sure this is a paid work, because Oshiomole as we speak has no reputation in Edo Stat.
Nigerians always ungrateful. Them pay them no pay complains all through. This is why our leaders prefer to rape us. Weda them tiff or them no tiff una go still insult them after their tenure so why not empty the treasury at least una no go curse them for nothing.
