Bishop Oyedepo urges Christians to live sanctified lives

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFC) on Sunday urged Christians to live a sanctified life to experience God’s glory.

Oyedepo, the founder of LFC, also known as Winners’ Chapel, who presided at the five services, held at the Faith Tabernacle, Canaan Land in Ota, Ogun, noted that only the sanctified are ordained to be glorified.

A correspondent that attended one of the services reports that Oyedepo urged Christians to be conscious of their ways of life so as not to miss their blessings.

“Sanctification provides us access to specific blessings, answered prayers, fresh unction, divine health, supernatural breakthroughs, signs and wonders, grace and glory.

“All of these are why we should, constantly, be in a spiritual battle for sanctification and stay spiritually awake at all times.

“If we surrender to the spirit of slumber, we shall become vulnerable to all the forces of filthiness, “he said.

He said that Christians should endeavour to work out their salvation with fear and trembling, and ensure they win the war against sin.

“Believers should, therefore, note that godliness is not a state of thinking that you have not sinned but the desperation to please God as a lifestyle.

“Godliness is a conscious acknowledgement of one’s sin and shortcomings, praying for forgiveness, cleansing and victory; it can also be a state of tireless press towards perfection,’’ he said.

  1. Yes and you are so RIGHT man of God Bishop Oyedepo but the question is that, "Is this whole thing about do as I say and not as I do?" Because I am getting confused as to how Christians should live their lives for God's glory and especially we the so called men of God. I think an old man of God once said that, "Our lives preach better sermons of Jesus Christ than our words." I heard that this same Bishop Oyedepo's Church was in a mess with the British authority if that is in anyway true. Sorry if it is not true, I only heard some people discussing it and later I read it in some kind of newspapers or so. Please FORGIVE me if I am wrong as I only act and go as far as my smartness takes me which I don't agree that I am a smart person. Be blessed IJN. It's me again ...... RADEO 12072015 @ 1:39 am.

    1. Don't mind him..... He's even saying "We so called man of God"
If you are really man of God.... Pray always for anything you think is not right in Christiandom and stop blowing empty air...
If he(Bishop) preaches on money now, u will still talk and oppose, this msg is on holiness, u are still talking.... Are u a magistrate in UK dat u are talking of mess? If it's a mess, the church will not still be operating there.

  4. I don't blame anyone who says anything antagonistic about Bishop Oyedepo. What I have come to realise is that his kind of ministry and calling cannot but be criticised because it is not church as usual. Having been with his ministry for about 15years and even though I now worship in another church, I can say without any iota of doubt that very few servants of God across the world have a message as complete and as balanced as that of Bishop oyedepo. It's normal to doubt this but we will all find out the truth when we get to heaven. Many of us still owe our commitment to christ not to our present pastor but much more to the seeds and the zeal that this Guy sowed into us while growing up.
What I always advice those who criticise him is to sincerely listen to his messages without bias, not necessarily go to his church but to validate his submissions with the Bible.
Thank God for the 11th of March, 1996. When my late mum led us to Living faith church.
