The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has said that he is ready to receive litigation letters from the former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, if she plans to institute any legal action against him for linking her to the alleged $2.1bn arms probe.
Oshiomhole, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Kassim Afegbua, on Thursday, said that while he awaits the letter from her lawyers, the former minister should explain to Nigerians how so much money was allegedly diverted unnoticed under her watch, rather than sweeping the issue under the carpet.
He said, “Is it not ridiculous that the former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy pretend to be ignorant of the sleaze and primitive looting of the nation’s treasury under her watch? Does it not prick the conscience of Okonjo-Iweala that so much financial improprieties were perpetrated right before her nose and yet wants to be celebrated as a super minister? Does she want to absolve herself of the abysmal performance of the economy under her watch during the Jonathan years?”
Okonjo-Iweala had, through her Media Adviser, Paul Nwabuikwu, urged the Federal Government to caution the governor to stop linking her to the billion dollar arms investigation.

So much money got lost under her supervision (Which has been confirmed by recent Dasuki's revelation) and she buries her head in the sand like the ostrich claiming ignorance of everything, what sort of logic is that. It is people like you who are so morally corrupt that they do not view stealing as corruption.

DeleteOshiomole has not said any illogical statement. If she claims ignorance then Havard and World Bank must be ashamed of her. What was she coordinating if the resources to be coordinated were being stolen yet you refused to resign. But she resigned under OBJ for not being given free hand to work. Ibos and money!

ReplyDeleteAs to the point of oshiomole, it's because of the issue of not granting a loan as requested by shiomole during Iweala's regime as a minister of finance but one way the other his saying the truth. I weala's issues in Nigeria, to my observation, she's one of the best ministers the one I would want my daughter to be like but am here to shock you that she falls in the hands of cabal in Nigeria. Yes international well recognise and carrying her duties with utmost good faith. Have we ever thought for one's how does she runs the economy of the country? Then the answers will be clear to us that she's trying her best but they will not allowed her to do what is good for the country.
Can Oshiomhole point at one major thing he has achieved since he emerged as governor of Edo State? he should stop talking trash and allow Okonjo-Iweala be.
