20 things Nigerians may experience in 2016 under Buhari’s government - FAYOSE

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has stated 20 things Nigerians should expect to happen under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government in 2016.

In a statement personally signed by Fayose, yesterday, he said: “Fellow Nigerians, I want you to take note of the followings that will unavoidably happen under the Buhari-led government in 2016.”

1. Workers Strike: There will be so much industrial unrest, especially in the first quarter of the year.

2. Subsidy: There will be removal of fuel subsidy and petrol (PMS) will sell over and above N100/litre, leaving the masses in more serious hardship. Product will not be available and long queue in petrol stations will persist throughout the first quarter of 2016 and beyond.

3. Electricity: Power generation will drop to the lowest ebb. Still, Federal Government will increase tariff in 2016.

4. Unemployment: Millions of jobs will be lost in 2016 as against the three million jobs promised by the APC yearly. Most States and Federal Government will retrench workers as evident in the over 2,000 Federal University workers already sacked.

5. Economic Policy: Most private owned middle-class businesses will fold up because of bad economic policies of the Buhari-led government.

6. Devaluation: The Naira will continue to have a free fall which will take it to as low as N320 to one Dollar.

7. Economy: The Buhari-led FG will have no solution to country’s economic problems.

8. Security: Boko Haram will keep spreading and the Shiite Muslims will get more emboldened.

9. Human Rights: Penchant for dictatorship will rise with rampant human rights abuses and disobedience to court orders.

10. Anti-Corruption: Insincerity in the fight against corruption will continue and the fight will not only be selective and political, but targeted more at Southerners.

11. Elections: Attempt to forcefully control any of the South South States of Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Bayelsa by the APC will lead to unprecedented deaths.

12. Economy: Crude oil price will fall to below and about $30 per barrel.

13. Anti-Press Laws: The masses, especially men of the media profession will rise against the FG’s plot to deny Nigerians of their rights to freedom of expression. There will wide condemnations by Nigerians and the International community against President Buhari’s human rights abuses and disobedience to court orders.

14. Polity: Renewed efforts will be made to remove Senator Bukola Saraki as the Senate President; this will not only fail, but will heat the polity.

15. Hardships: Nigerians will experience more hardships. The President himself attested to this (THE SUN newspaper Tuesday, December 15, 2015). This obviously negates the change Nigerians voted for.

16. Elections: Plot by the APC to take control of at least one South South State will lead to death of many people. Particularly, rerun elections in Rivers and Akwa-Ibom States will cause many deaths.

17. Corruption: Halliburton scam may be revisited in 2016.

19. Kogi State: Court will sack Governor-Elect, Yahaya Bello.
Bayelsa State: Governor Seriake Dickson will win the supplementary election.
Taraba State: Governor Darius Ishaku will be victorious at the Court.

20. Politics: There will be subtle political alignment and realignment before the end of the year ahead of 2019 elections.

  10. GOD will first all sack you before that of the kogi state governor. For this simple one, you are gone forever. Since you have become prophet of doom, no single good thing will happen to Nigerians in 2016 according to your day dreams, then it is probable you may not witness the year in the first place. Why not say Buhari will finally die in office this year to vindicate your pre-election advert.

  25. To Gov Fayose..as the saying goes..when the sky would fall, it will not be on top of only one person.
As you do not have even ONE +ve thing to say, shame on you.
God is not man. Even God gives hope amidst storms. So who are you Gov?

  26. Fayose the prophet of doom. We ask you to govern Ekiti state, not to prophesy about another man's government. Your civil servants in Ekiti are cursing you presently for spoiling their yuletide due to non payment of their salaries. September was the last salary you paid, and you are here making useless prophecies.

    ReplyDelete
  27. When has Mr Fayose become a prophet, a prophet of doom to be precise. If he has any means to get this message, he should know that its only God Almighty that knows the unseen(future) and He is the only one that has the control and dimension in which any matter will unfold. He should also be reminded that Almighty God is so merciful and He always has a listening ear to his servants.therefore my dear "always in the news Governor" we shall see.

  28. SO OUT OF YOUR 20 LISTED HAPPENING YOU DONT HAVE ANY GOOD IN IT HMM YOU BE MUMU OUR GOV

  29. Fayose is the most visionary, charismatic and vibrant governor in Nigeria now. Is it Aregbashola that cannot pay salaries. An Ogbeni that cannot pay salaries. Is it Rochas Okorocha that is sacking workers. Carry Baba Fayose. You saw all these coming and they were too myopic to see them. You warned Nigerians but they did not listen to you and now you have also told them what to expect. Baba Fayose carry go. Ekiti People are Blessed to have a Governor like you. O se Baba!

    ReplyDelete
  30. OK can someone tell me what is going on in Nigeria now just check around you I am not talking about APC or PDP I know truth is not Good to hear in this nation soon everybody will no the truth

    ReplyDelete
  31. Gov fayose thanks for dis prophecy...even if it did come to pass,u will make d govt to sit tight

    ReplyDelete
  32. Fayose, why not stop making mockery of yourself. You have an uphill task administering your own state; I think this should be your own preoccupation for now instead of spending your precious time criticising Buhari. It is said that a person in a glass house does not throw stone. The people of your immediate constituency are not yet enjoying full dividend of democracy. At your level you have not got your priority right, if you did, you will not be contemplating building an airport in Ekiti when the people are suffering. Yet you are calling yourself a friend of the masses. Instead of an airport, I will suggest you build a railway to link Ekiti with its neighbouring states of Kogi and Kwara States. The masses would derive more benefits from this than the airport. ab.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anyway some of the things have already started coming to past. But Mr governor I want to ask you a question where did you buy fuel N100. I just bought a litre for N140 even though government have being talking of the fake N87 per litre. I need to be buying my fuel there

    ReplyDelete
  34. All of you criticising Fayose because of his predictions are doing so just because of party afilation . The earlier you realise the current reality, the better for you all. APC is leading us to hardship and dictatorship! . Disobedience to court orders are the early signs of dictatorship and very soon, it will cut across board, those hailing Buhari today would use the same mouths to shout crucify him!. When Ex president Goodluck wanted to remove fuel subsidy, the APC , Tinubu,
Amaechi, etc sponsored demonstrations in Lagos now they are the supporters of its removal. Fayose is saying the obvious. This is the real government of impunity.

    ReplyDelete
  35. What is your joy when these things befall your country? It would be wise of you to pray for the peace of the nation rather than spearheading evil news/predictions. By the grace of God, no evil shall befall Nigeria.

    ReplyDelete
  36. So people still bother themselves to comment of Psycho Fayose's talk. Is he not the same person that predicted PMB death before the election. If Nigerians did not perish with the 16years of evil rule by PDP, then be rest assured that under PMB we enjoy the benefits and dividends of civil rule. With the level of ruts left behind by PDP, though it may tarry, but we'll all live to see the change.

  37. what my gov is saying is not diffent frm what prsidnt spokes person said.then why ar u attaking my gov ?

  38. Elder Fayose JP. You only travelled to Jerusalem for fun not to serve God but remember, christianty is not a jamboree.

  39. To all who said APC Is leadin us to hardship, pls where did PDP left us. No one is sayin PBM is a saint, bt let see where his intendin gud plan wil lead to b4 criticizin him. And for a GOV to be sayin al dis, its so barbaric. He is just sayin what ekiti pple should expect 4rm him in 2016. He owes 2 month and 3 month to some, no leav bonus to some and reversal of salary to some. Gov fayose needs help

    ReplyDelete
  40. Except some few here who see the light in Fayose saying. Mind you, Fayose is not prophesying OK, he is just telling the truth. Even the bible says men will always call truth evil because it is bitter and many are afraid to hear and believe it.

Recently, a lot of university staff have been sacked and governors are planning to reduce minimum wage. Peradventure minimum wage is reduced, fuel subsidy is removed and it becomes too expensive for the common man, electric tariff increased without regular power supply. what do you think will be the outcome? Is it not riot and protest? We should remember that increase in fuel price invariably means increase in the selling price of all commodities.

It should be noted that when economic policies are too strict, small to medium businesses will fold up, thereby resulting in unemployment. Or are we depending on the meager #5,000 monthly allowance which will not even foot bills not to talk of feeding.

It has become obvious in the past few months since the inauguration of President Buhari that court proceedings are no longer honoured. This was first displayed during the screening and confirmation of ministers. Or would those of you who see Fayose as a prophet of doom want to say that the charges laid against Fashola, Timipre Silva, Amechi, etc are irrelevant? Or would you still want to say that you haven't seen the evil practices of APC in Kogi and Bayelsa State elections?

I am sure it is you who are supporting the evil and austere plans of APC that are the prophets of doom. 2016 is not far-fetched and it will be an eye opener to everyone of you. However prepare and make haste for the race ahead.APC have no regard for the Nigerian judiciary. But one thing APC has forgotten in haste is that, Nigerian has grown past the time and stage of intimidation and forceful rulership. We are all watching.

It should also be noted that APC has no right to force its party on Nigerians; every Nigerian has a free will to exercise when it comes to political association. So APC shouldn't forcefully impose itself on those who never buy their doctrine. APC may conspire with those ill-fated betrayers in south-south states to implement their evil agender, however their plans will never see the limelight in Bayelsa State.

Its so sad many are too blind to read the handwriting on the wall. I wish we will never regret ever knowing APC as a political party. LONG LIVE NIGERIA!!!

  41. I marvel at the level of insanity and stupidity of most contributors on this platform,my question goes to the myopic demented entities:-are you all blind to see what is happening in the country?as an economist,I see no positive and impartful policies in Progress here in our beloved country under the leadership of mr president, from his ministerial appointments to fiscal policy construction we all know the obvious assessment.tell your selves the truth Nigerians and don't allow cheap. Sentiments or cheap sympathy to a particular party rule your demented minds,Governor Fayose is 100percent right.the truth is bitter-all we need is prayers.Fayose has done his critical analysis of the system and he has come to these facts-what that means is that some constructive changes must be made fast!only a fool is caught off guard.in my days as a member of the boys'scout, our motto remains"BE PREPARED"!all you demented haters should hide your faces. In shame and begin to think logically and constructively.

  42. This is a height of abuse of freedom. In an attempt to boast of being a fearless character assassin he curses the society to which he belongs. If crude falls is it the fault of the President? Party or no party, unemployment has been a cumulative problem of past governments. Okonjo-Iweala was brought in by Jonathan with a tacit understanding that she had the key to employment only to later discover her expertise is in fund diversion. This mischievous man called Fayose has myriads of atrocities hanging on his neck, yet he has the gut to howl on his superior under the guise of playing intrepid opposition. What a shame! -Eddie

  43. What a conflict? What we have heard from Fayose is not new. It is not time for counter-attack against Gov. Fayose. I am fully persuaded that the voice is not that of Gov. Fayose. On the basis of Fayose's message, it is time to pray for Buhari and for Nigeria.By reason of God divine intervention, these prophesies will not come to pass IJN.

    ReplyDelete
  44. These so called 'predictions' are mere diversionary tactics by Fayose for his inadequacies in the governance of Ekiti State. He is ignoring Leprosy to treat ring worm, He should be called to order. It very unfortunate that this kind of person is ruling a state regarded as a cradle of knowledge. What a shame!
