Nigerian troops rescue Boko Haram victims

The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, has said that soldiers rescued 61 captives of the Boko Haram insurgents on Thursday.
He said the captives who were rescued by advancing troops of the 21 Task Force Battalion, were released at the Bitta and Damboa axis of Borno State,
Usman said the troops freed the captives while clearing some Terrorists’ camps identified as Modupe 1, 2 and 3 in the area.
Usman said the troops also cleared more of the camps of the terrorists at Nwalemet, Mallemri and Bale.
Others were destroyed by the advancing troops at Tripkwota and Gidan Gachi on Tuesday.
Usman stated however that the troops encountered an Improvised Explosive Device which was buried along their route near Balazalla Dure which affected one of their vehicles.
He added that troops also blew up an abandoned truck loaded with Improvised Explosive Devices at Uvole
