Enyimba have secured a seventh Glo Premier League title on Sunday after playing out a goalless draw against title rivals, Warri Wolves, at the Enyimba Sports Stadium.
Kadiri Ikhana’s charges dominated the game but failed to convert the numerous chances that came their way.
Warri Wolves toiled hard to create clear cut chances in the game they needed to win with their top scorer, Gbolahan Salami, marked out by the hosts’ defence led by Chinedu Udoji.
At the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos Giwa FC beat Shootings Stars 1-0 to boost their chances of picking a continental ticket.
Charles Okoro scored the only goal of the encounter in the 65 minute.
Sunshine rallied from a goal down to beat relegation-bound Bayelsa United in Oghara.
Jafar Buhari opened scoring for the Restoration Boys in the second minute before the visitors rallied to secure maximum points in the game through Tamen Medrano (54th minute) and substitute, Luther Iyorhe, in the 65th minute.
In Katsina, Victor Yakubu scored the decisive goal in the 30th minute as El-Kanemi Warriors handed a 1-0 defeat to Wikki Tourists.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah lost 2-0 at home to Nasarawa United in Nnewi. Philip Auta put the visitors ahead two minutes before half time, while Thomas Zenke sealed the win in the 76th minute.
Lobi Stars boosted their survival hopes with a comfortable 2-0 home win against Rangers.
Captain Agbaji scored the curtain raiser for the Pride of Benue in the 38th minute. Tony Okpotu increased his side’s lead 15 minutes before time, his 11th goal of the campaign.
Port Harcourt sides, Sharks and Dolphins, picked up vital wins to boost their chances of escaping the drop.
Christian Pyagbara scored the winning goal from the spot as Sharks beat Kwara 1-0 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium
Dolphins rallied back to beat Heartland 2-1 at the Liberation Stadium.
