NigerianEye can officially confirm that the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the Saturday Governorship election in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu is dead.
NigerianEye gathered that Audu was said to have complained of stomach ache on Saturday shortly after voting and returning to his country home in Ogbonicha, Ofu Local government, and was advised to take a rest.
A trusted source in Kogi APC revealed to NigerianEye that he slumped and died after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the result of the election inconclusive.
One of the aide of the APC candidate, Tenimu Nasidi said being a Muslim they have taken his death in good faith as they strongly believed that God gives and God takes, “To me I believed that his time was up; nothing any man can do to stop it”.
The late Audu will be buried this morning according to Muslim rites.
Audu had earlier defeated PDP's Wada in Saturday's election, winning 16 local governments.
Saturday’s election was his fourth attempt to return to the Kogi State government house. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDeleteWhat a life! Let's draw closer to God. Let his death be investigated.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the money though?
ReplyDeleteWe can now see that there is no thing in this life; 'I will do this and i will do that if I win' brother, go ur life to God.
ReplyDeleteNow that Audu is dead has the constitution made provision for situation like this?
ReplyDeleteNo but he should just return the 11 billion niger delta oil money that was allocated to that state that he looted. RIP will be afterwards if you really think about it. The money looted must have led to many deaths. Now he cannot spend it
DeleteSwimming with the sharks when you are a mackerel. Tinubu vowed against him and now I hear there is jubilation in Lagos over this death. This shows you the kind of devils in APC. Rest in peace audu
ReplyDeleteLife is vanity...His death will be a good lesson for the wise. With all our wealth, money, wives, buildings, cars, wisdom and what have you, one day we shall surely return to our creator to give account of our deed on mother earth........
ReplyDeleteGod gives and God takes.
Death is enough a warning to mankind and should be understood as such. Failure to recognize that fact is lie a child's play. Our leaders should realize that accumulation of our commonwealth at the expense of the populace will lead to nothing but vanity. May Allah forgive Prince Abubakar Audu's shortcomings while on earth and grant his family fortitude to bear his loss.
ReplyDeleteRIP Prince Audu.
