Vincent Enyeama's wife Promise took to instagram to defend her man's decision to quit the national team.
"Yes! You did well! Hold your head up high my love! I'm so proud of you and your dedicated service to your fatherland for 13 good years. I have witnessed your passion and commitment firsthand. You spent sleepless nights just to analyze every goal you conceded, even if there was nothing you could do to save them. You played through injuries, pains and fatigue.
You took the bullets of unjust criticisms, biased and false reporting/information, just to let peace reign.
You missed important family moments to honor national call-ups. Thank God for the opportunity/privilege to serve the nation. Thank God for the strength/skill to carry out your duties. Thank God for all the memories ( good and bad).
You leave as a hero. You bow out as a legend. Our children, grandchildren and future generations will hear and speak of your great deeds. God bless you my husband. God bless Nigeria." she wrote Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Oliseh is just jealous that u have a brain
and achieved more than him, we all remember
when Oliseh disrespected baba onigbinde, and he was dropped
for d 2002 world cup he's known as a rude individual
and now he's shouting enyeama disrespected him
is a drop out of school or what
how is going to bury ur mama and still coming
to camp been disrespectful ?
e ma gba mi o e yin ara adugb mii

Shut up you idiot. What is wrong in Oliseh choosing his own captain? Enyeama is a professional and can he do that at his club? He must respect the decision of his coach too or must he always have his own way? To hell with his retirement...Nigeria will produce another better goalkeeper. I lost some respect for you Enyeama.
ReplyDeleteIf lost any respect for Enyeama that means u lost repect the entire Nigerian team, ifu were in his shoes, what are suppose to do, he left for his mothers burial, maybe u don't know the value of mother, he can't be away while his mother is been buried, even if he does, he will not concentrate, it is better for him to follow his mind, his club will grant him leave if he request for that, as long Nigeria is concern Enyeama is number 1, u can go and hang ur self....
DeleteI see some people don't even know what the problem is between them, it is not about who becomes captain rather because inyama came late to camp which was because he went to bury his mother. So instead of consoling him for his lost,he was forced to retire.don't worry inyama God would give you a better contract
ReplyDeleteAnonymous. 5:50 it's obvious you combined Ekiti and oshogbo weed, come smoke am before you made this senseless comment.
ReplyDeleteEnyeama is a Hero and the sky is your limit.
ReplyDeleteOlise cannot stop your great and glorious destiny in Football.
It is so unfortunate that Olise could behave this way.
The Golden Rule... could not be considered. It is obvious Olise will not last long. He feels he has reached the zenith of his career; he shall also be humiliated ignominiously n what he cherish n deserve will be taken from him.
Now Nigeria has even lost the match with DR CONGO.
Shame on Olise...
NFF has to wake up, act and resolve this matter because Nigerians are disappointed and not happy with this nefarious and denigrating development and call back Enyeama. NIGERIA is key n not just Olise.

ReplyDeleteif ur mama die and ur coach says monday dead line
u bury ya mama on few days and tuesday u report for camp
if that happen to u, will u like it?
be truthful to ya sef o
this is a genuine reason, a coach / leader must have compassion
it is not rocket science
most of us Naija can not handle small power
why why why
vanity upon vanity, all is vanity
do unto others as u wish others to do unto u
their is a solid reason for coming late
if i was Oliseh i will even give him 3/4 days to take is easy
if u lose a loved one / family close family memeber
ur company / firm gives u a certain period to stay @ home
no be so, why must this be different
i do not watch football
am an F1 fan, but the story got moi attention
did i even abuse you, it shows ur level of understanding in such
delicate matters, better change ur ways, no one knows who is next
death is inevitable, did Oliseh even sympathize with his keeper?

Oliseh was rather harsh and disrespectful to Enyema. He shd have even applauded him for his determination to report to camp a day after burying his mum. Is it easy to lose a mum? Maybe he Oliseh doesn't appreciate his own
