Female governorship candidate, 'Mama Taraba' nominated as minister

Hajia Aisha Jumai Alhassan, a former Senator and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2015 elections in Taraba state, has been nominated as a minister by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Many Nigerians have hoped that the former Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice, Taraba State, will emerged the first elected female governor in Nigeria but she was defeated by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Darius Ishaku.
