The Nigerian Army, yesterday, issued a final warning to Boko Haram terrorists who are yet to surrender, to do so without further delay in order to escape the impending final onslaught.
The Nigerian army High Command gave the warning even as it warned that the 219 Chibok girls still being held by the terrorists must be freed immediately, without any other condition by the terrorists.
It was gathered that the final ultimatum followed the security meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and the Service Chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Monday, during which the President was briefed on the strategies to ensure his directive for an end to insurgency in December was achieved.
A statement in this regard by Colonel Sani Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations said: “This is to finally warn all Boko Haram terrorists, wherever they are, to desist from all acts of terrorism, surrender themselves and face the law now.
“We wish to inform them that we are aware of all their hideouts, camps and enclaves. They should follow their colleagues who have so far surrendered.
“Failure to surrender will result in serious consequences as our troops have closed up with them.
“We equally appeal to members of the international community and the world at large, to kindly persuade Boko Haram terrorists and their international collaborators to desist from acts of terrorism and renounce their membership of the terrorist organization forthwith.

Stupidity of the highest order. I put to the Nigerian military that they do not have the capabilities to defeat gbkoharam. As a matter of fact, the insurgents are winning the war, given that they are fighting on their own terms.

ReplyDeleteWhen you burnt down ODI and killed many innocent souls was there a warning? Why warn terrorists and blood suckers almost every week and still yet they continue to kill and main. They warning shows you lack direction or there are influential people you are still protecting.

ReplyDeleteThis warning is becoming necessary because of the Chibok girls or else BH would have long been annihilated. It's unfortunate that before BH captured the chibok girls GEJ had the opportunity and power to level down sambisa but weakness, cluelessness, indecision on his part has brought us to this nightmare.
ReplyDeleteThe chibok girls issue is a propaganda which is serving as shield for BH. The Nigerian army need to know that the real BHs will never surrender. Those coming to surrender are fakes or thieves. The army need to undergo an assault operation on BH and forget about the chibok girls. TAKE DOWN SAMBISA MERCILESSLY
