Senator Mao Ohiabunwua representing Abia North district, has told President Muhammadu Buhari, that his administration would be a flop if he continues to sideline the Igbos.
The Peoples Democratic Party Senator who made the assertion on Saturday in an interview with journalists in Umuahia, Abia State capital, expressed disappointment in Buhari for excluding the South East zone in his appointments so far.
The former Speaker, ECOWAS parliament, described the deliberate exclusion of the South East from the political equilibrium of Nigeria by the All Progressives Congress-led federal government as “a time bomb waiting for explosion.”
He said, “I don’t believe we can be running this country without Ndigbo. I believe that sidelining Ndigbo is a time bomb that is waiting to explode.”
Ohuabunwa told Buhari to stop denying Ndigbo opportunities to serve in his administration under the pretense of searching for saints, contending that Ndigbo parades an army of people with unquestionable character.
He asked Buhari to go outside the APC camp and choose other competent hands with proven integrity from the zone, carrying Ndigbo along.
“But since the man said he is looking for people with impeccable character, lets assume he hasn’t found any among South East APC members. Let him come to me and I would donate a man of integrity to him. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

These ndistuff are confused, they want appointment, they want biafra.... Which first ndi?
ReplyDeleteThank u my brother, pls remind dem. Since Buhari has won the election without dem, I don't know how relevant would they be to him or the entire Nation with their rubbish Biafra mentality. Useless set of human beings. (My apology to all d good Igbos among dem).
ReplyDeleteBuhari don't need your support. All of una be rebel. Go and formed your Biafraud. Foolish people.
ReplyDeleteBuhari don't even need your support. Una be rebel. Declare your biafraud and go away. Foolish people and bunch of animals.
ReplyDeleteIts only out of jealousy and wrong view that many insult Igbos and call them rebel when they are asking for their right . Come to think of it, what is the crime of Igbos? if Igbos leave Nigeria for you, you will still not be satisfied or your pocket filled with money. Igbos don't carry guns and we are hard working people and don't have problems or your time unless u look for our trouble. You do not expect all Igbos to vote for Buhari. Many of our people voted for Buhari. These comment you guys make here goes along way to make the Igbos want to go their way. All tribes needs each others and it will be wrong for any one to say Buhari do not need Igbos and who ever say or think that way is still a baby upstairs and deserves no attention. When people fight for their right, people take it for something else and it happens only in Nigeria. My people, grow up and lets be just in our comment and leave Igbos alone because they are not your problem. If you call Igbos rebel then what do you call Boko haram? Lets trade with caution and don't speak because you have had problem with an Igbo man before or bcos u see them dominating where ever they go and u want to talk rubbish to rubbish them. If there is no event there will be no history. my people, "careful!!!!". In Ekiti state the Muslim are complaining that Fayose did not appoint any Muslims into his government and therefore they should not take gift from him. Where were you when they made that comment, you should have called the Muslims rebel for demanding for their right. Now I see that most people don't deserve reply when they make foolish statement without reasoning and most people who comment has mental problem and ran out from the psychiatric hospital. Lets maintain peace and see reason to any publication before commenting and trying to rubish one tribe.
Delete@ dee, pls do not use the word foolish for people u barely know. Also your apologies does not hold water because your insults were premeditated but alas! It has no effect on the people will for self preservation. Achebe was right when he asserts that Nigeria has an Igbo problem.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Imo state and APC supporter. Many of us there voted for PMB and fought to protect our votes for him. If he did not win in south east meant that majority of people from there perceived Jonathan as their neighbor so as the north east perceived Buhari from northwest as their brother but as a father and a true leader, he shouldn't maltreat igbos because they voted according to their conscience. He should think about it and act like a father to the entire nation because he is making few of his supporters from that zone feel like fools. As per those condenming igbos here, I know that you are sycophants
ReplyDeleteI am very sure Buhari is not out to marginalized any part of this country, people are making preemptive assumptions, let us just calm down and see what he comes up with for the entire good of the nation, for me I would want to see the collective progress of this nation instead of looking at only a selective ethnic coloration as a ploy for assessment. Few weeks ago the president gave the NNPC GMD appointment to kachikwu, they say he is not an IGBO man, we are waiting for next rounds of appointment for ministers, why are we in a hurry? This man is a true Nigeria I am very sure his appointment would cut across.... a lot would be happening in the solid mineral sector where he has personally visited adjaokuta and aladja, Jos is next, very soon Nigeria would be producing its own cars, arms and so on... he might be slow but after a year Nigerian economy would be too huge to stop
DeleteI wonder why some people would keep on supporting Buhari over his unreasonable decision to sideline ndi Igbo in his administration.Well,I would never be surprised because some do not fully understand what democracy implies. However, whatever anyone sows, one must reap .The world is watching
Deletedee n all dat commentd are idiots dat i would not wan to join issues wit.your fada n ur fore fadas are rebels.
ReplyDeletehnnnnnnnn, its well. God bless Nigeria
ReplyDeleteEver since Nigeria was handed over to Yorubas to manage after the civil war, just see where they led the country to. I'm still laughing and watching. Run the country without the Igbos and let's see if we can get anything out of it. Onye chi mere eze bu eze. Haters of Igbos, it's so unfortunate for you because you guys can't run the Igbos out of this country.
ReplyDeleteIt will be an act of unexpected leadership form of revenge which i'll say's unwarranted even for PMB's elderly stage if he will continue to appoint these federal posts without considering the Ndigbos......I will personally want to state a law be passed for a certain percentage to be allocated to the federal appointments available in each regime without which these form of tribalism will continue to exist from one regime to the other ..... I mean, even if the critically important appointments don't go to the northern part of the country during the past regime that has lasted and succeeded in the past, we all know that there wasn't a glaring sidelining process as it's been pronounced in the present day.....I commend PMB for the success made so far particularly in the part of the resurrection of our refineries.... God bless President Mohammadu Buhari , God bless Nigeria and Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
