The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed the Kogi state governorship primary, earlier scheduled to hold on Thursday, 10 September, 2015.
The postponement is with regard to some logistic issues pertaining to the exercise, said a statement from the National Publicity Secretary, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh on Wednesday.
The NWC reassures members of the party and other critical stakeholders, particularly the gubernatorial aspirants, of a transparent, credible, free and fair primary election, Metuh said.
The statement said the NWC has approved a new date of Monday, 14 September, 2015 for the primary election and directs all members to be guided by this. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
