Saraki arrives Code of Conduct Tribunal



The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has arrived the Code of Conduct Tribunal to face charges against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau.


SSaraki, in company of his deputy, Ike Ekeweremadu also has in attendance former governor of Sokoto State, Wamako and many other senators.

Meanwhile the tribunal bas barred live coverage of the proceedings.

The Court of Appeal and the Federal High Court, both sitting in Abuja, yesterday, refused to shield the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki from being arraigned at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, on a 13-count criminal charge bordering on false declaration of assets preferred against him.

The Senate President had approached both courts to provide him shelter and save him from being docked.

  1. There is no hiding place for liar leaders that has no positive example for our up an coming generations. Unhonorable Bukola Saraki must go down, to give signals to others that there is a sheriff in town. Here is a supposed member of the hallowed chamber whom we expect to lead by example but he decide to do otherwise. The good Nigerians that voted PMB are waiting with kin interest, to see how he spare head the present leadership. Nigeria will survive.

  3. Just hope the CCB will investigate all the people who have declared their assets in the past and even now including the Sheriff himself. Then can Nigerians know that the fight against corruption is truly here and not the type that has already been fought in the country try during Obama net's time. Just to wipe recalcitrant members and opposition to order. OBJ did it before!!!
