Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen. Dino Melaye, has urged Nigerians not to be passive in the running of their states, but to always ask relevant questions affecting the running of their respective states.
Melaye, who was reacting via his Twitter handle, @dino_melaye, on Sunday, against the backdrop of the bailout funds given to states by the Federal government said: “The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has named 19 states given bailout. The states that benefited from the funds, which the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) said it monitored the money are Abia (N14.152bn), Adamawa( N2.378bn), Bauchi (N8.60bn), Bayelsa (N12.85bn), Benue(N28.013bn), Borno(N7.680bn), Cross River(N7.856bn), Delta( N10.036bn), Ebonyi(N4.063bn), Edo(N3.167bn), Ekiti (N9.604bn), Enugu (N4.207bn), Gombe (N16.459bn), Imo (N26.806bn), Kastina (N3.304bn), Kebbi (N0.690bn), Kogi (N50.842bn), Kwara (N4.320bn), Nasarawa (N8.317bn), Niger (N4.306bn) and Ogun (N20.00bn).
“Ondo (N14.686bn), Osun(N34.988bn), Oyo( N26.606bn), Plateau (N5.357bn), Sokoto (N10.093bn) and Zamfara (N10.02bn).”

They don't have anything to show for it. All they have for the masses is ghost and abandoned projects. Laundering money overseas and acquiring private jets while salaries are unpaid, graduate on the street no jobs, bad roads and epileptic power supply. Borrowing money year in year out from World Bank. God is watching them all. The more they commit all these atrocities the more their canes are soaked in kerosene awaiting them n hell.
ReplyDeleteYou are spot-on my brother. But those state governors keep inciting their citizens against the Federal Government so as to divert attention from themselves. States like Delta and Bayelsa, with their huge allocations from the Federation Account, should have no business being bailed out by the Federal Government. But the governors of these states with their cronies steal all the money and then tell their citizens that the Federal Government and the oil companies are their problem. So sad that people can be so gullible!
