Ndigbo will not tolerate further marginalization in Nigeria – MASSOB

Chief Ralph Uwazurike led Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB has warned that Ndigbo will not tolerate alleged further marginalization in Nigeria, urging President Muhammadu Buhari to address the issue without further delay.

This was disclosed, Sunday, by the Director, MASSOB Women, Anambra North, Comrade Amaka Okafor while briefing newsmen after a closed-door meeting with the Regional Administrators and other top MASSOB members in Onitsha.

The women who took to a protest without placards, chanted anti-Igbno marginilization songs and saying they have resorted to embark on prayers, through the services of prayer warriors in their bid to actualize the sovereign state of Biafra.

Comrade Okafor said, “We will use this month’s August women meeting to pray more fervently as we have embarked on prayer session throughout Igbo land to ask God to help us actualize Biafra”.
“We cannot achieve a sovereign state of Biafra without fervent prayers and we ask our women in Igbo land to ensure they use this August meeting of women to mobilize the women for the prayer which will be headed by the prayer warriors we have employed.

“We have suffered in a country we are part and parcel of and the marginalization has lasted for about four decades unabated without hope of freedom and that prompted our leader, Chief Ralph Uwazurike to vow that the marginalization must stop and actualizing a Biafran state is the only way it will stop” she said.

According to her, ” for the women to come out in their large number to speak against the injustice being meted out to Igbos by the Federal Government in Biafran land shows that they can no longer tolerate”.

“It was for this same reason that we had the Aba women riot of 1929 when the women protested because they were asked to pay tax by the government and we said no and today again, we are saying no to the marginalization of the Igbo” she said.

  2. Allow them to vent thier views. No need for abuse. If nigeria was what it promised to be such groups would not exist. Blame nigeria foe such and save your bitter mind to abuse anybody you see so you can channel it on the failed nigerian state that put us in this one chance mess. Must you always abuse people you don't agree with? Many bigger and more solid counties have split up so you don't know tomorrow. The current one Nigeria na bad market oh

  4. Buhari has been in office for 2 months 18days, he has not named his ministers, or members of any board yet he is seen to be marginalizing everybody even the section of the coun3 that did not vote for him still want to intimidate and control him.... for me if we continue witnessing the current power supply improvement we have had for the past 2 months and the current availability of fuel in our fuel station for all citizens I feel that is no marginalization, I don't need to have a minister from my state before electricity/ fuel is made available and affordable to me as a Nigerian that is true leadership....Please let us support PMB to take us to where we odd to have been....

    2. wow are you Nigerian????? How can you be so intelligent on this issue? Hmmm there is hope for Nigeria then. What the Igbo's don't realize is that the poor ones are on the street unknowingly fighting for their rich members who will eventually rule over them and loot their lives if they split Nigeria. These ones on the street will have no hope no life no future they will be more miserable than they are now. Why can't they see this why are they so blind...Ojukwu is gone, he is the only one I could have opined that the igbo's have some hope following. Abi is it Orji Uzo Kalu that is giving them hope haba Igbo's wake uppppppppppppppppppp............

  6. I don't know why Nigerians are afraid of secession by some section of people. If any ethic group wants to secede, Nigeria should allow them as long as they will not cause violence. Many countries have has undergone secession and there was no problem, so Nigerian should not always see it as a loom of war.

I seriously disagree with Dr Junaid Muhammad for recalling the ordeal of the Civil war to the Igbos. He should be seriously cautioned for having such corrupt mind with his likely hood of being a tyrant.

  7. I am an Igbo person. The Igbo nation supposed to be a great one but there is something that is killing it. THE IGBO's ARE KILLING THEMSELVES. Let us come low to the level of the family. I DO NOT SEE THE IGBO MAKING ANY IMPACT AS NIGERIA IS CONCERNED BECAUSE THE SAME IGBO MAN WILL BE THE ONE THAT WOULD KILL HIS BROTHER. Igbos might make impact in business, technology, etc. Why do you think many Igbos that left Igbo land stay where they are till they are killed during Nigerian crises. It is because they would still be killed if they come back to their own land. The things I wrote above does not apply to all igbos but it is seen in about 60% of the igbo community. It also exist in other part of Nigeria but they will not kill their brother. The yorubas no matter how much you give them will do what will profit them generally. The hausa's will kill all strangers around them (They love only themselves). Sadly the Igbo's will sell their brother for few coins. We saw this sabotage during the Biafra war, war between Ngige and Uba, in 60% of families of the Igbo's. IT IS HIGH TIME THE IGBO's LEARN UNITY. My final warning to MASSOB is beware their are a lot of people among you that will kill the vision. I write frankly with experience in what is happening in my locality and extended family. It might not happen in your family but I have seen it happen in so many localities in the igbo land (especially Anambra State) because I travel a lot
