If Igbos are butchered again, Nigeria will break; Fani- Kayode warns

Ex-Director of Publicity, Peoples Democratic Presidential Campaign Organisation, PDPPCO, Chief Femi Fani- Kayode Monday lampooned the Convener of the Coalition of Northern Politicians, Academics, Professionals and Businessmen, Dr. Junaid Mohammed, describing his comments that President Muhammadu Buhari owes Igbos nothing as most most insensitive, cruel and Puerile.

Responding to comments credited to Junaid, Fani- Kayode in a message to newsmen noted that his statements that If the igbo feel marginalised they should attempt to break away again, was most uncharitable and careless, warning that if there was any attempt to butcher the Ibos or a repeat of what happened in 1966, it would be resisted by not only the Ibos, but by all Nigerians, with attempt to secede, which according to him, would be successful.

According to him, the like of Junaid must learn from history, our mistakes, preach peace and peaceful coexistence, rather that boast and beat our chests for yet another round of war.

Fani- Kayode reacting to a statement titled, ” If the igbo feel marginalised they should attempt to break away again”- Dr. Junaid Mohammed, The Punch Newspaper, 17th August 2015, said, “Given the immense suffering that the igbo were subjected to both before, during and after the civil war this is one of most insensitive, cruel and puerile comments that I have heard in recent times.

“I daresay that if Junaid Mohammed’s Nigeria ever butchers over 100,000 innocent igbo civilians again, as they did in the north in 1966 just before the civil war, there will indeed be another attempt to secede, but this time it will not only be successful, but they will also take many others with them.
“Rather than boast and beat our chests, we must learn from our history and we must never repeat its mistakes.”

Dr. Junaid Mohammed, had in an interview in one of the national dailies, dismissed the sentiments shared by a former Governor of Anambra State that the Igbo have not been treated fairly in the governance of Nigeria.

Junaid who noted that people of the Igbo nation have enjoyed favourable treatment, said it was wrong to reward the Igbo simply on the basis of the Nigerian Civil War, which lasted between 1967 and 1970.

Mohammed had said, “If it is about Buhari making the appointments based on merit, I have no problems with it. I don’t believe Buhari or Nigeria owes any Igbo anything. I don’t care what Ezeife says; if they had seceded, there would have been no Nigeria today. As people who acted outside the interest of Nigeria as a country, to expect compensation is a very odd logic.

“If the Igbo don’t like it, they can attempt secession again. If they do, they must be prepared to live with the consequences. Nobody owes them anything and nobody is out to compensate them for anything.”

  1. FFK seeking for relevance. In the first place why should his message be published ?
Look at ffk talking about peace, it is a shame that he has peace in his diction.
He has suddenly forgot his write up about the Igbos, "The truth about the Igbos" the non eligibility of PMB in the just concluded general elections. Is he trying to play on the Igbos intelligence ? Well he should be told that he has failed the Igbos and indeed Nigerians.
Because Nigerians are too wise now, we have long forgotten him. He will be remembered only for his bad character. Research has shown that writing on the pages of news papers, talking on the television screen and working with the president of a country does not really means one is intelligent, especially in Africa and indeed in the person of ffk.
Some times , infact many at times he speaks from his anus. Information reaching me says he did a lot of fraudulent atrocities with his living father OBJ while they hold sway in Aso rock villa.
Time will tell. He should please stop looking for relevance.
Nigerians are tired and sick of his leaking mouth with bad breath.

    2. FFK now the mouth piece of the Igbo race....na wao! may be the cash he made from Jonathan is running out, but let the Igbo nation inform you that they don't need you to fight their cause.... we know your antecedent, even from your Father how he and others led the protest to oust NNAMDI Azikiwe from the western regional house, he plotted the famous carpet crossing that an Igbo man would never come to lead the west.... before then Nigeria was one, anyone can contest election and can become what he or she wants anywhere in Nigeria. We had an Hausa man as the Mayor of Enugu (Umoru Altine), Professor Eyo Ita was the leader of the NCNC in the east while zik was the leader of the western house... the likes of your father were people that kill that spirit...so please if certain persons are to talk for the IGBO'S not you..... I have not seen any marginalization as for 2 months 18days he took over, and has not even name his cabinet so please go and look for a different people to talk for we are not interested

  2. It is only the foolish Ibo man that will take ffk serious.
Here is an idiot that have insulted Igbo people both dead and alive. Now he is playing on their intelligent, proving he loves them better than Zik or Ojukwu.
It is an irony of fact that we have people like fany kayoed amongst us.
Here is somebody whose immediate (nucleus) home is in disarray trying to incite the Igbos.
A Yoruba man crying more than the bereave, what a wonderful world we live in, like the saying wonder shall never end.

  3. FFK and Dr Junaid can say whatever they want for God's sake igbos ain't threatening anybody and cannot be threatened by anybody. They always have the survival instincts with them and knows how to go about situation like this without resorting to media ranting. Any igboman making noise through media in this season is very foolish because we succeed through hard work not by propaganda

  9. Why do nigerians hate igbos so much. The igbo man that said that is he thier spokesman? If a youruba or hausa man said that it will barely male news. why this hatred? Simply let them leave nigeria so you can be happy without them. But I promise you that when you do kora people will own the rest of Nigeria and you will be slaves in your homeland plus so much of the south south will join them. Not in another country but in that same so called biafra that you people dread so much. We have done so much untold things to them yet they are the weathiest per head of population. Find out how we stole thier assets and money and deprived them of growth and infrastructure yet look at them now. Any other tribe would have been extinct. Now do you see why we have them? Let them go and you will see the most powerful nation in the history of the black race.

  12. Thanks Fani Kayode. You are a man of great mind. Don't mind all the riffraffs that are not saying good about you. Fani Kayode stood his ground firmly during the election time even though he new he was going to loose, which is contrary to what an average Yoruba man can do. It difficult to have a Yoruba man that is stable as Fani Kayode.
What the yeye Dr Junaid was saying against the Igbos was out ignorance and stupidity. He just wants Igbos to notice him. Am appealing to PMB to take him to the remand school idiot. Igbos must continue to exist with their domineering instinct.
